i have a question about Rep points.
I know you can say if you approve or disapprove a post, but when I look up who gave me rep points, sometimes the comment will have a gray block next to it and other times there will be a green block even though I know they clicked on the approve button.
Anyone following me? I was just wondering how to ensure you give someone positive rep points when I want to.

Green is good...red is bad...I think gray means they aren't a member or don't have enough posts and can't give you rep either way.

Oh ok thanks.
Do you know how many posts you need until you can give a positive rep?

I think you just need to have positive rep.

You can give out positive rep, it'll count for one point.

there are a couple articles about this in the help section. One started by Tony, the other by DrLev. I've read them and they were really helpful.

anybody know how i could lose 50 rep points yesterday for my posts when the rep point messages i got were actually more positive than negative?
Those who gave you a neg rep probably had more points....In that case, you can lose more than you gain.

Or, make ridiculously inaccurate statements about the guy who runs this joint. Not smart for your rep.... :)
