I'm tempted to buy this, but apparently the Ps3 guitar can't be used on the PS2 games and the PS2 guitar doesn't work right on the PS3.

Otherwise, I think I'd be there. There's a game on the iPod by Harmonix that's similar and I love that.

I don't own Guitar Hero, but I've definitely stayed up until 3 in the morning playing it (and Rock Band) at a friend's house.

This is pretty much the perfect pastime for me:

Is it a video game? Check.
Does it have rocking guitar music? Check.
Can I play this video game while melting my face? Check.


I just wish the 'hard' level was a little easier. You would think it would be 'medium' with the extra button, but it's not. It's got the extra button *and* harder combos.

This is one of the few games that are a challenge. If anyone can get 500k on a song in Guitar Hero II, I sure would like to see them play.

I am now on the Hard setting and getting it handed to me pretty good. I actually don't think I will be able to beat this game and I don't remember the last game I said that about....oh yeah..Geometry Wars....arrgh!

I only wish Guitar Hero II had xbox live playabilty. I might have to by Legends of Rock just to play my friend on live. The co-op achievments look fun...at least to try for.

Just wait for the Green and blue at the same time followed by the red and orange at the same time!

I also beat easy with five stars but havn't been able to get all five on medium yet. I moved to hard because people that are way better than me said it's easier because of the beat :confused: I haven't found it easier to say the least...maybe over time.

I think what they mean is that people who start at the higher levels, or get good at them find the easier levels more difficult because the slower strumming throws them off. They get used to the difficulty.

I beat easy, and I'm struggling in medium right now. That blue key HATES me

My cousin just got Guitar Hero III last week, so I was playing it... The jump from medium to hard is exponentially more difficult than the jump from easy to medium. I beat medium pretty easily with 90%+ on every song (except the final battle which was hard), but then the first time I played hard I lost immediately because hitting the orange screwed with me. At least your pinky can go to the blue button, but when you move your hand to hit the orange, that messes you up with all the other buttons. After about 8 tries, I've beaten two of the easiest songs on hard mode, but even then I struggle to get 75% of the notes. One thing I can't figure out how to do is hit all the notes when they come way too fast directly after each other. My cousin said something about "hammer ons" and the tutorial, so I bet I have to figure out all that stuff before I can get any better.

Love Guitar Hero 3 and yes it keeps me up all night playing it. Just downloaded Velvet Revolver songs for the 360 last night. Finished the game on medium the other day and hard is near impossible.
