Dude just can't seem to stay away from strip clubs.

"At the time of his suspension, one of the changes Jones told Goodell he intended to make was to stay out of clubs and to avoid situations in which he might be compromised. Goodell has said that he has apprised Jones that he will ultimately be judged by his actions, not his words."

We'll see how this investigation plays out, but, given no true precedent to this deteriorating situation, I wonder if Goodell will lay even more of the law down.

I'm sure Pacman didn't want to go to the strip club (yeah, right). It sounds like the victim tricked him into going there on the pretense of "handling a divorce case" (um, ok).

Seems like Pacman Jones will never learn.

PACMAN OFF THE HOOK
Posted by Michael David Smith on January 16, 2008, 5:34 p.m.

In a rare piece of good news for suspended Titans cornerback Packman Jones, a woman has withdrawn her complaint that he assaulted her at a strip club.

Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper cites a source with knowledge of the situation in reporting that Wanda S. Jackson withdrew her complaint alleging assault and battery by Jones on January 3 at the Body Tap Exclusive strip club. An application for an arrest warrant filed on January 7 said Jones “sucker punched” Jackson after an argument.

The withdrawal of the complaint means that, as a legal matter, this case against Jones is closed.

Still, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell might not think the case is closed at all. Goodell has reportedly urged Jones to steer clear of strip clubs altogether, and if Jones was at the Body Tap Exclusive, that in and of itself could raise Goodell’s ire.

When Jones was suspended by the league during the 2007 off-season, it was announced as a one-year suspension. But before Jones can play in the NFL again, Goodell has to reinstate him, and Jones may have a tough time convincing Goodell to do so.

Interesting that the complaint was withdrawn. I wonder if he, um, made it rain upon her and her lawyers...

(You know, if there is one athlete that needs a stripper's pole installed in his basement, it is Pacman Jones.)

Pacman Jones told Roger Goodell that he would stay out of trouble and not hit the strip clubs. Well look what happened he went and got in trouble when he should have been sitting in his house. The complaint has been withdrawn but still the damage is done especially when Pacman says he won't be going to those clubs anymore.
