Singleton and Murray batting 3rd and 4th. Back to back switch-hitters, both hitting for average and power. How do match up against that late in a game?

After some hard thinking I think I'll have to go with the dynamic duo of Ryan Minor and Jeff Reboulet.
Oh yeah!

Would have to go Brady and Devo too. Was just getting into baseball and watching them made me more of an Oriole fan growing up.
Bumbry and Coggins at the top of the lineup in 1973.

With that great nickname "Bat-man and Robbin' "

"Batman and Robin" was my first thought when I saw this thread as well.
I will also throw in Ripken and Alomar as my favorite double play combo. Followed by Ripken and Ripken (Billy couldn't hit a lick but man, he had some range).

I actually have that card and an 8x10 the "Iron and Steel". They're my favorite duo.... it was all them when I was a kid.

How about a trio?
In spring training 1988, the "Three Amigos" were in line to make the Orioles opening day pitching staff. They were Jose Mesa & Oswald Peraza (both acquired from Toronto for Mike Flanagan the previous fall) and Rule-5 draftee Jose Bautista. All had great arms.
The O's came north to start the season, but stopped at RFK Stadium in DC for a final exhibition. (I think it was on Easter Sunday against the Indians). Anyway, this was before RFK was reconfigured back for baseball, and the left field fence was some silly distance like 250 feet.
Mesa was blasted for multiple home runs balls, got demoted to AAA instead of making the team, developed arm problems, and didn't make it back to Baltimore until late-1989.
By then, Peraza's once promising career was basically over due to his own arm woes, and Bautista was stuck on the Rochester-Baltimore shuttle, where he remained until moving on to the Cubs in 1993 as a serviceable reliever for a few years.
Memories.

Jr, Sr, and Billy
They were alot of fun to watch. They were the first two I thought of too.
Glad that someone else remembers that fun! When Matos and Newhan were hot for half a season a few years ago, it reminded me a little of them.
Other duos I'll never forget:
Blair and Snyder platooning in CF
**** Hall and Stu Miller--a goofy looking pair of relievers (set-up and closer) who were quite effective.
Jeez--I'm not allowed to use the word "Di_k?"
