According to sportscenter, a SD newspaper is speculating that Rivers has a partially torn ACL and is doubtful for Sunday.

I was thinking today while listening to Mike Tirico that this might be a really bad ploy to have Belicheck game plan for the wrong guy. Really bad ploy because Belicheck is probably planning for both of them.

Any gameplan that bottles up Billy Volek will absolutely leave Philip "0-4 against Maryland" Rivers nothing but a pile of suckitude. The Pats are HOPING Rivers plays instead.

With Rivers questionable for the game on Sunday and L.T., Gates and the Chargers DT Jamaal Williams hurt I see no hope for the Chargers against the Pats.
