Who has been the MVP of the Terps so far this season?

Gist. He wasn't great today, but I think he still nearly put up a double-double.
When Gist's play improved, the Terps improved exponentially.

I agree...he is the one player on the floor that is truly versatile IMO. He can block shots consistently, score in the post and be a treat from the outside at times. He adds another dimension to this team that I don't think the others can...yet

Well, I think he's an occasional threat from outside, I think he needs to shoot at a higher percentage to be a treat. ;)

I said Osby, only because I didn't expect to see this guy play anywhere near this good. Gist was really bad early when we were losing and Osby wasn't any better, but the real key to this turn around has been Osby in my opinion and if he plays at this current level, this team could really shock people come March.

They can't play without Gist's presence. He's the entire key to the defense, and he's the main guy to focus for most defenses. He's the MVP just by showing up.

I think it is Hayes...Osby is a close second.
Gist is the best player but not neccassarily the most valuable.

Interesting point here...can we really fathom where this team would if Vasquez really ran the point? He needs to be a solid 2, and his dribble penetration off the screen is really where he is at his best...Hayes enables him to play better.
Osby obviously deserves some credit as well. GT had to completely change their game plan in the second half due to his dominance in the paint. He is a tough player to handle for any team because of his size and leap ability, yeh I did say that.
But Gist really gives you that dual threat of offensive and defensive player, and when I think of MVP, I can't see any player on this team who contributes more. Whether he touches the ball or not, coaches are always concerned that he might. Furthermore, his block shot ability forces teams to attack the other side of the floor. I asked this question because I knew I can make a case for all 4, and really, the team wouldn't be where they are now without each contributing at some point

For the season? Hayes has been great since he came back, but he hasn't been a real presence over the entire season. That's crazy talk. We're not Duke, we don't overrate our paste-y pointguards. ;)
That said, I think Hayes and Milbourne are the key from here on out.
I'm just happy for Osby. You can tell he's worked hard at all parts of his game - even his FTs have improved. He's very easy to root for.

I don't get on him to much for the handle.. because he really is a 2G operating at the PG.... but Hayes is the best straight shooter, and has to play off the ball right now.
The decision making can make you scratch your head sometimes, but some perspective from the fans is needed...
Yeah, I still don't understand why Hayes isn't playing point. The way Gary runs his offense and with the motion I don't think we would have a problem getting Hayes open looks from the three. There would be less turnovers and Vasquez is deadly coming off that curl. I just think it would help both players to make that switch.
