who the Terps had signed who was a high school scoring phenom as a number 2 guard a few years back? As I recall there was a problem with him missing practice to go to Temple or something like that? I thought the last I heard he was playing for Towson but I cannot recall his name? Anybody know his name and how he's doing? This is bugging me!

Wow. Thanks for the link and article. That answers all my questions and more. I did not realize he was 25 now as time sure flies! I must have somehow missed this when it ran in the Sun about a year ago.

I saw some highlights of him from a year or so ago - He's still skinny and relatively unathletic. Kid has gone through some struggles due to people vastly overrating his ability.
One of the more embarrassing moments in Md basketball history. He was given a conditional without GW seeing him, when GW did he freaked as he was
simply not an ACC caliber player. He put up big numbers against really small private schools.
On a similar not anyone out there remember Brian Magid?

As soon as he crossed half-court with the ball everyone at Cole would start yelling "SHOOT!":D

I thought he was like Sidd Finch. Only real. And bad.

The best long range shooter I have ever seen.

Yeah me too. I used to love it when they would be down 3 points with like 5 seconds left and he would have been sitting on the bench virtually the entire game and they would stick him in to shoot the three and often if he got a screen he would hit it. Even if he misssed it was usually close which was quite impressive coming cold off the bench and doing that. I often wondered why the didn't use him more early in the game when falling behind by setting screens for him. But what do I know, I am not a D-I college coach, or and level coach anymore.

The three point shot was not around in Magid's days. He may have got more minutes if it was.

And Magid just was not a good athlete - even compared to Tamir Goodman.
