Now I know that the vast majority of you (OH'ers) live in MD, you don't get to experience the snow that we have here in upstate NY. The last 2 days have been absolutely miserable. Snow falling at rates of up to 3" per hour and 40 mph winds for 2 days is enough to drive people insane. Especially when said people (me) had to plow my boss' driveway while he's on vacation. Stay away people...stay away.

Hmmm. I used to live in Stockbridge, Mass. I remember snow... alot. Don't miss it, except maybe 2 days per year.
It's 72 and gorgeous here. Warm days, cool nights, nobody on the beach...

I went for a run on the beach this morning. The water was 75 degrees :)
I don't miss the snow, that's for sure.

I like snow, I hate ice.
I spun my car out on 95 going home last night. Ended up on the leftside shoulder facing the wrong direction. Very lucky that I didn't get hurt or even bang up my car.
Snow is no problem, but driving in icy conditions is miserable.

Glad to hear you're alright. That's a very scary situation you were in. You have no control over what the other cars are going to do.
I posted in the rants section that my 20 mile commute took me 5.5 hours last night. I did the same thing on Dec 5, but fortunately it wasn't on an interstate. I lost a hubcap and thought I threw my alignment out of whack when I banged into a curb. No big deal, but scary regardless.

Everyone should go there at least once. In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and say that if your Perfect One hasn't been to Bar Harbor, he's not actually perfect... yet. Of course, I'm available if he needs a tour guide... ;)

Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.
There's nothing like fresh tracks in the morning.

I used to live even farther upstate (Potsdam and Malone), grew up in Rochester almost right on the lake (tons of Lake effect snow). Makes Albany seem so easy for winters.

My wife is from Southwest Harbor, otherwise known as the "Quiet Side." BTW you haven't seen a parade until you see their "Flamingofest" every July.
