I remember Roch's blog saying Wieters was supposed to be behind the plate today, I guess he'll just come in for Hernandez later in the game.

Mora is rubbing his hamstring (medical expert Joe Angel is guessing) But he's walking slowly back to second after a hit and run attempt.
Millar works a great count and fills the bases with a walk.
Luke Scott is coming up.
Scott hits a grounder to second base and forces Millar out. Markakis advances to third and Mora scores.

Impossible he has the best glove in the game!

Gibbons is swinging and being impatient. Hes at 0-2.
Then flies out to RF. He's now 0-7 this spring. Payton coming up
If Gibbons continues to be terrible, will they cut him? I hope so.
Payton gets on by a Guzman error.
Adam Jones was putting on a show during batting practice. "One of the few guys who make hitting look easy" - Terry Crowley (Joe Angel says that he was hitting a bunch of line drive homers)
L. Hernandez grounds out to first, but payton advances to second. Roberts is coming up.
Dukes lost the ball in the air and payton comes in to score as Roberts is standing at second.
The crowd cheered and started laughing.
Rob Bell is coming in to pitch for the Nats
Mora with a basehit, Roberts scores.
Markakis is gone on one pitch. It's tied 3-3.
I hope Mora starts the season on fire so we can trade him.
George Sherrill starts with a leadoff double from Boone.
First out is a swinging strikeout.
Second out is a flyball to Markakis.
Harris gets his first hit of the spring on a ball that was barely fair and hit the LF corner, it's now 4-3 Nats.

Gibbons immediately gets to an 0-2 count.
We really need to just eat his contract and get him off of this team.
We really need to just eat his contract and get him off of this team.

1-2-3 inning for Bell.
Bradford is in the game.
Roberts can't handle a ball as it hit him in the chest, Dukes gets to first safely.
Hernandez can't throw out Dukes as he steals second.
Markakis makes the catch in RF, Dukes is now on third base.
Langerhans hits it to bradford, who looks right at dukes to make sure he doesn't run to home. Langerhans is out at first.
Two outs with a runner on third.
Payton makes the grab in CF and the O's are coming up.
Bell is still pitching;
Mora hits pop-up foulball that is caught backhandedly.
Markakis crushes a dead-center homerun. It's tied 4-4. Joe Angel is amazed as the wind is blowing pretty hard in the opposite direction

Tillman to Weiters, I hope to hear this battery for YEARS TO COME! Seems like Tillman was strong-all ground outs. Does he have a sinker? I thought he throws FB, CB, CH?
Wieters is gone on three pitches on a flyball to center.

It was mostly fastballs being thrown, Angel didn't say anything about curveball/changeups.
They are really talking up Scott Moore. Says he is almost a lock to make the team
Hahahhaa, he's also the "backup bus driver" as he has a bus driving license.
He lines out to the pitcher.
Also its Fahey at SS, not Roberson, thats my bad. Roberson is in right field taking the place of Markakis.
Three up three down for the O's.
They haven't mentioned anybody warming up in the bullpen so I think Tillman is coming back out.
Yep, Tillman is done as Leicester comes in to pitch. It was already one out when they returned from the break so I don't know how it was achieved.
talking to Kranitz and he's talking about watching tape of the 2007 bullpen and how ST has gone well so far for the Club.
Thinks the O's front office did a wonderful job.
Talking up Matt Albers, not as a powerarm but the "kid can pitch"
Three real young who throw hard with a bunch of upside.
Talking about DCab; Attacking the strikezone, expects Dcab to continue doing that, and not to back down from the batter. Talks about confidence issues that needs to be worked out.
Liz is impressive, says the ball travels very special with Liz. The one guy he looks at and really thinks he's special. As good as anybody in the game, a little bit of mechanical work and being consistent.
Thinks Sherrill will fit easily in the Closer role.
I hear baseball being played in the background but Angel is focusing in on the interview.
Hahaha
"Where are we now, woops" The entire top of the 7th inning happened during the interview so.
Fahey gets a basehit. Torres hits a grounder and Fahey advances to second.
Fahey scores as Salazar doubles. Its now 5-4 O's
O's up 6-4 as Roberson gets a hit and Salazar comes in to score.
Roberson gets to third as Heintz grounds out to short.
Zach Dillon comes in for Luke and strikes out. It's going to the top of the 8th with a 6-4 O's lead. No mention of anybody warming up in the bullpen.
Escobar lines out to Fahey. One out.

Leicester still in?
Leicester still in?
there was a mention of Lance warming up in the bullpen but no actual pitching change, I did however go to get a drink so I may have missed it.
Yeah Leicester is still in, he just gave up a basehit. So it's now 6-5 with the O's on top.
Matt Wieters was scheduled to start. Dave Trembley changed and decided to start him in the second half. Wieters has gunned down an attempted stolen base (must of happened during the interview).
Talking about how they got a shot into the future with Tillman throwing to Wieters.
He strikes out looking after getting the count to 2-2.
Moore grounds out to short.
Talking about how the next broadcast is next Saturday.
Terrero gets a base hit after getting to an 1-2 count.
And promptly steals second.
Fahey gets an RBI double and the O's are now ahead 7-5.
O's lead 8-5 as Torres gets a hit.

Have they said who was pitching for the Nats?
Angel still can't believe how well Markakis hit the homerun and is still talking about it.
Torres steals second. And Salazar gets an infield single, Torres advances to third.
Have they said who was pitching for the Nats?
Not that I've heard.

Sounds like the second string is carrying the load.
Roberson has been stuck at 1-2 for the past seven pitches. He's making the pitcher work for the out.
Have they said who was pitching for the Nats?
Brian Sanches is pitching. Pitching Coach just went out to talk to him.
Roberson hits a single and it's now 9-5.
Speaking about how their bullpen is stretched because of the split squad.
Sanches got the first two outs quickly but it's been five straight hits. Runners at first and third.
End of the 8th with O's up 9-5 as Heintz pops up to the Outfield.
Lance Cormier is coming in to pitch the 9th.

Brian Sanches is pitching. Pitching Coach just went out to talk to him.
Roberson hits a single and it's now 9-5.
Maybe he should be hired as the O's BP pitcher to give the hitters extra confidence?
Fahey can't hold onto the ball and it trickles into center for a basehit.
Fahey makes a bad throw to second base and instead of getting a double play, or just an out there are now runners on second and first.
Now Hoey is warming up in the bullpen.
Lance loads the bases with a HBP.

It Sounds like Fahey is playing himself off the AAA Team.
Basehit. Two runs score. It's now 9-7. Runners on first and second with nobody out.
Another basehit. One run scores. Runners on third and second. Still no out.
Lance is done for the day, Hoey is coming in.

Another basehit. One run scores. Runners on third and second. Still no out.
Who's pitching
Who's pictching
Lance Cormier. Novoa is coming right now.
Hoey didn't come in even though they said he was warming up in the bullpen.
Novoa came in instead.
It's now a tied ballgame as the throw home from the outfield gets past Wieters.
Moore cannot get to the ball as the wind carries it away from him. He recovers well and throws out the runner at third but the Nats take the lead during the process. It's now 10-9.
Novoa strikes out the last batter. It's the bottom of the 9th inning with the Nats up 10-9

Dillon grounds out to second.
Wieters gets a single.
GAME IS TIED
Double by Scott Moore to score Wieters!!!
