Bedard is still too scared to pitch against the O's.;)

Here is the O's lineup per Roch:

Brian Roberts - 2B

Melvin Mora - 3B

Nick Markakis - RF

Kevin Millar - 1B

Aubrey Huff - DH

Luke Scott - LF

Jay Payton - CF

Guillermo Quiroz - C

Luis Hernandez - SS

Jeremy Guthrie - P

I was hoping to see Moore in there today. Is the weather supposed to hold up? It's raining here in Elkridge...is the game going to start on time?

Oriole4Life

Watching the pregame it looks kinda rainy. Dempsey just mentioned that this is Seattle's only visit to Baltimore this year, so they are going to make every effort to get this, and tommorow's, games in. As of now they are starting on time.

I think we'll get the game in.

Moore is going to start at either 3rd or 1st tomorrow, according to Trembley.

It would be cool if we could take this series right here, today.

RShack

With all the fussing about LH, one thing I look for is where he is, even if he's not in the play. The other night when Mora made a great diving stop to his left, LH was backing him up and coulda got it if Mora didn't. A couple times on bloop singles to CF, LH is *way* out in CF, almost to where Blair used to play. He hasn't caught one out there, but I'm not used to seeing a SS get out that far...

I remember when the O's used to drive an "unbeatable" Mariners pitcher named Randy Johnson nuts, in part because Jeff Reboulet gave him nightmares (.280 hr .390 obp)

Just got to keep this one close and hope Looie Hernandez plays giant killer against his countryman King Felix.

Nice inning. Let him pitch the 8th.

I don't like that idea. It's early in the year and over 100 pitches is probably enough. He had a good outing after his bad one on opening day. Don't want to blow it now.

Why pinch hit to start the inning with a slow runner? Not to mention that I think you all fail to realize how tough Felix is on right hand batters. He has a nasty slider, good curve, and can throw his change to righties. This is why he put Moore up and let Hernandez start the inning. If he was looking for power when Luis came up, he would have taken a shot with Jones.

I'll never forget a play last year where he completely gave up on a looper to left that landed just inside the foul line. If he had tried to catch the ball, he would have. Instead, he slowly jogged to the general area, it fell, and run(s) scored.

I was watching that game and I don't think it was as it appeared. It seemed to me that Payton just got a very bad read on the ball and thought it was clearly a hit off the bat so he was playing it like a normal single. I agree he could have caught it and it looked bad, but I think it was more a bad read than being lazy. My 2 cents....
