Wow. Skins were offering their 1st Rd in 08 and a 3rd Rd that could escalate to a 1st Rd in 2009.

Is Cinci crazy? Are the Redskins crazy?

Wow, I thought no team would give up enough to get Chad because of his attitude problems, but... leave it to the Skins. I was just joking with a co-worker yesterday, asking her if the Skins had traded away their first round pick yet... LOL!

Cincinnati apparently wants to fight the good fight. They just aren't going to win.

And this is why the Bungles will be spending the next few years in the cellar. Stupid, stupid decision.

I think the answer is obvious. BOTH!

I really wonder about the Skins sometimes. I'd love to get Chad, but seriously, those better have been some astronomical performance incentives to escalate that pick from 3rd to 1st.

What are the Redskins thinking? Two first rounders.....wow.

I wouldn't rule out a draft day trade yet but I don't think any team is going to match those demands.

Cinci should've jumped on the Redskins dumb offer.

This shows how CRAZY both teams are!! Thank you Cincy for saving Snyder from himself...he never learns.

Tough one...maybe Cincy since really the deal was up to them. Or maybe Cincy is just waiting for draft day to get an even better deal?

Maybe the Skins know Cincy wouldn't accept that deal and they are driving up the price for Dallas and Philly?

Or maybe that would be giving these teams way to much credit? (Probably this one)

What's funny is the Skins have averaged 1 first round pick per draft over the past 4 years, or 9 years if you want to go back further. 4 of those picks became pro bowl players, and 3 of the others are Campbell, Rogers, and Landry. Reality is obviously different than perception here.

Probably because there is a pattern of not having many high picks overall. They have had eight first-day picks in the past five years (out of a theoretical 15). They did have four first-rounders in that time (two in 2005), but not many second- or third-round picks.

Yes, they give away too many picks, no doubt about that, but the perception that they give away first round picks is wrong.

It's hyperbole, but it has a basis to it.

Not when someone uses 1st in front of draft picks.

It might sound foolish, but can you think of how the Offense could open up in Washington with Ocho Cinco. But then again, they don't realy have a big play offense or a big play QB, so I guess it could be a waste. Who knows how the offense will run this season though, with the new Coaches. It would definately be a boost in some way, but two first rounders is big for anyone.

You have to wonder if they made a huge offer to prevent Dallas or Philly from outbidding?

I cannot imagine what the Bengals are thinking in turning that offer down.

Get rid of a lockerroom distraction and add new, young talent? And now Marvin Lewis is challenging Johnson to go ahead and sit out. I guess they just don't care about having first-round picks. Unbelievable!

Probably the dumbest move a football team has ever made in the history of the NFL. Only the Bungles!

Agreed!

Get past your petty grudges and look at the BIG PICTURE and what is best for the franchise, Marvin.

Wait a minute- the Bengals are a division rival of the Ravens. Keep it up Marv- put Ocho-Stinko in his place. Show him who is boss. Don't let him "win" by getting out of Cincy. Force his butt into sitting out. :D

I really expect the Redskins to grab one of (Chad Johnson, Boldin and Roy Williams) come draft day. One of these teams will bite and from what I hear, the Skins really want out pick #21. If they can't grab a top WR off someones roster, watch out for some teams calling them to grap a QB (Brohm, Fannco, Henne) at #21. The suspense is killing me....

The Bengals must really want to stick it to Chad Johnson.
