Since Miami has already signed their pick before the draft even begins, could each team in sequence do the same? In other words if the number two team drafting now signs their guy could this flow like dominos? If so, why hasn't it happened at least for the top 5 -10 picks?

Anyone know the answer to this?

I think Goodell said no, that the Rams can't do it before the draft.

Otherwise, no one would watch his draft!

The NFL allows the first team to negotiate with anyone they want after the season ends. They do this to speed up the negotiation process and not have a bunch of camp holdouts.

Currently, no other team can do that but apparently the NFL is looking into it.

Also, keep in mind that just because a deal is in place it's not official until the team turns the card in. It's just a framework.

Ok, the big question or statement, will Miami use all 10 minutes of their time?

;)

OT, but is the limit down to 10 minutes now? It used to be 15. I'm trying to estimate when my team is going to pick.

Yep, they dropped it to 10 minutes this year...
