While team records are sometimes misleading I think these three records are an indication of how good our farm system has finally become.

Delmarva (A-) 23-18
Frederick (A+) 25-18
Bowie (AA) 26-17

Combined these three teams have a record of 74-53. Only Norfolk (14-26) spoils the party...

Would be great if one or two teams could fetch a championship this year as I think it's always good if young players acquire the winning mentality while in the minors.

Imagine Bowie once Wieters and Arrieta move up. Only problem is neither guy will likely be there for too long. And Tillman likely won't be there all season either.

Yeah you kind of feel sorry for these teams because once they reach the imortant time of the season probably their best players will be gone.

Given MacPhail's stated aversion to moving young prospect "too" quickly and his young age, the youngest pitcher in all of AA ball, I would not be surprised to see Tillman spend most or even all of the season in Bowie. And, while I expect to see Wieters and Arrieta in Bowie, I don't expect them to be promoted again beyond that level, this season. This isn't based on their talent, but on how MacPhail seems to want the player development system to work. Expecting another promotion for either of those two to AAA or even the majors means you expect them to immediately dominate at the AA level. I wouldn't be shocked if they require some time to make that adjustment. They might do that, but it's expecting a lot, especially from two players in their first full season of professional baseball.
