Not sure how many race fans are out there (DuffMan is the only one I know of) but I'm pretty excited to watch the Indy this afternoon. I'll be pulling for Danica, but if I had to put money down I think it'd be on Tony Kanaan. Although that kid Graham Rahal has been pretty impressive, too...
Here's a link (http://www.indy500.com/grid/) to the starting grid. Man, those cars are cool....

Sheesh, Graham Rahal out already & AJ Foyt IV has his car catch fire on pit row.

I think I've cursed the drivers with my original post. First Rahal and now Kanaan are out.
Keep your eyes open, Danica...

Should have kept your mouth shut :laughlol:
I just hope Danica doesn't end up going to NASCAR, because the first time she gets put into the wall at Bristol she is going to kill someone.

Yeah, Danica's definitely got attitude. I think she gets away with a little bit because no one wants to say anything negative about her, so she can sort of do what she wants. As much progress as women have made, I think there's still the tendency to treat her with kid gloves.

Well, like Wilbon said earlier today, this kind of thing happens with male drivers all the time, especially in NASCAR.

It happened Saturday night during the Nationwide race after an on the track incident between Denny Hamlin, and Brad Keslowski (sp?). I thought for sure some punches were going to be thrown when the two crews got into eachothers faces.

Oh, I know that, but those guys are usually criticized and reprimanded for it. I haven't really seen that with Danica. Frankly I think she acts like a jerk sometimes, but no one wants to bring it up. Although it's possible that it has happened and I've missed it.
Kind of reminds me of what Woody Austin said last year. When he (Austin) showed emotion, it was because he couldn't control himself. When Tiger shows emotion, it's because he's a fierce competitor. Same thing here - when Tony Stewart gets upset, it's because he's a hothead. When Danica does, it's because she's competitive.
