IMDB shows it releasing in Sept, I really cant wait.
This looks good. It looks like theres going to be a couple good offerings with Brad Pitt this year. This and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" both look like winners.

Bump.
Where are the rest of the Coen fans on here? I'm so pumped for this (much moreso than the Pacino/DeNiro flick).

I am not really that pumped but I will be seeing it Saturday morning. I am hoping it is half the movie that was 'The Big Lebowski'.

I'm a Coen Bros superfan but the story looks a little absurd/muddled to me, and the reviews I've read haven't been very encouraging. 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, Michael Sragow of The Sun had this to say http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/movies/reviews/bal-to.burn12sep12,0,39474.story
I'm definitely still seeing it and am psyched but my expectations are tempered.

I think if you want this movie, or any movie, to be as good as Lebowski you'll be highly disappointed.
I'll be very happy if I enjoy this movie as much as O Brother, which I really enjoyed. I probably won't see it this weekend, but its on my very short list of movies I really wanna see.

If it's half as a good as The Big Lebowski, then it will be the second greatest movie of all time because the Big Lebowski will always be twice as good as any movie ever.
When I first saw a commercial for this, I didn't realize it was a Coen brothers' movie. I heard Pitt say, "Give me the money" in the same tone and cadence as the nihilists said to Walter and the Dude in the bowling alley parking lot. It caught my attention and thought it was a total rip-off, then I learned that this was a Coen brothers movie also.

Ok I saw it yesterday.
I liked the movie. It was no where near The Big Lebowski, but the characters are pretty damn funny. The movie is pretty much about people just reacting and not thinking things through. The Ending pretty much sums up the movie.
It is hard to rank the characters by funniest but I will do my best.
1. John Malkovich
2. George Clooney
3. Brad Pitt
4 J.K. Simmons
The women are pretty weak in this movie. They don't really add much humor.
I would give this movie 3 out of 5 stars and recommend anyone that liked the Big Lebowski to see it.

I really liked this movie. I definitely thought Brad Pitt was funnier than Clooney:
"You think thats a Schwinn."

Very funny. I really like how all of the plot movement was motivated by assumptions from characters with an inflated sense of self-importance. Michael Sragow from The Sun found the characters too arbitrary but I think it was the beliefs they acted on that were arbitrary, and that's the genius of it.
On a related note something I love about the Coen Bros is how much the environment and geographical location of the movie mirror and tie into the plot seamlessly. What better place to show serious things happening as a result of silly people doing silly things than DC?

The Gym scenes were filmed really close to me on Route 46.

Yeah, the scene where Clooney is running up the hill to the Cox residence with the Key Bridge in the background was part of my commute for work for about 9 months. In the movie, the traffic is going the opposite way on the one way street.
Classic Coen brothers movie. That's back to back homeruns for them.

It's worth seeing. Not as funny as I expected, but the plot moves interestingly enough. I'm still laughing about the final part when the CIA types are talking about what happened.

I saw this today - very funny, and typical Coen Brothers in that you never know exactly where it's going.
