Yikes, I'm probably way behind the times on this, but Jimmy Fallon? Captain "I just look cute for the ladies and constantly break character"? I mean, if it keeps him from acting, awesome.

I guess they decided they need a funny guy and an unfunny guy, so Fallon is filling Leno's shoes as the unfunny guy?

Expect as awful lot of mussed hair and giggling at his own jokes.

Oh, and MASH is going off the air! Wonder if anyone will watch the last episode??

Slightly tangential, but even with the diversity of channels between now and then, it amazes me that the final episode of MASH is still the most watched show in history. Especially when even the most avid of fans will readily admit that the last couple of seasons got Alda-ed.

I had no interest in MASH. Kind of like I have no interest in a Jimmy Fallon talk show.

:clap3: See? See how I got this thread right back on... aw nevermind. :(

Wait...you means reruns of MASH are going off the air?

I'm confused (though I hate to threadjack a thread about Jimmy "You're Welcome" Fallon).

DREK was making an attempt at mocking me on being late hearing about this. Good idea, poor execution. I had to email him because I didn't get it either.

I thought about it, but then I realized, "No, he would have made it more obvious. This is about as funny as an Alda-directed episode."

Apparantely I'm the only one who got it.

Oh, I got it. I was just hoping it would die a quick and unnoticed death for the li'l fella's sake.

Yes, because you didn't understand it, and others did, the execution is poor. I see. Hubris = KingCrim. ;)

I always liked Jimmy Fallon. I think he's funny. It's better than Carson Daly taking over.

I remember how people were saying much worse stuff about Conan when he took over for Letterman. He might be pretty good at it.

They should just make every skit a "Nick Burns: Your Company's Computer Guy" skit. Then I'd watch it.

I don't think I could tolerate more than 3.9 minutes of Jimmy Fallon...isn't a Red Sux fan anyhow?

Naw...I think it was just a sketch that carried over to a movie.

I'm pretty sure Fallon was the one who said his two favorite teams were the Red Sox and Yankees.

I remember how people were saying much worse stuff about Conan when he took over for Letterman. He might be pretty good at it.I think Fallon is much more well known than Conan was when he took over. That could be a good or bad thing. Some people like him and will watch the show for that reason. Other people hate him and won't watch because they have a good idea of his schtick.

I don't really have a problem with him either way. I do think he is better suited for a late night talk show than he was for SNL. He was better doing weekend update than anything else, when he couldn't laugh during the middle of skits.

I don't watch a ton of late night, but I do really enjoy both Conan and Kimmel. I'll give Fallon a shot, and think he could actually be pretty good.
