How does exactly the same thing happen to two of our players two nights apart? Hopefully this bad thing doesn't come in threes. :bangwall:
Also, is the sound issue with MASN or mlb.tv? The ads on mlb.tv sound fine but I can barely hear the play by play with the volume turned all the way up on both the mlb player and my computer.

Thank you. :D I'm bummed the guys couldn't pull off the win but dang it felt good to see my guys give Boston a stroke at the end of that game! Edwin crushed that ball and Papelbon was throwing things in the dugout between innings, LOL :laughlol: I hope the guys are encouraged that aside from a few random things today (and more than a few blown calls by the home plate ump which it sounds like the O's are having trouble with tonight too), they were hanging right there with Boston for the whole game and easily could have ended up taking this one from Boston too. Hopefully Beckett left his good stuff back in Boston and Homer Bailey brought all of his with him for tomorrow's game. I'm greedy now and I want the series!!

Can't say I blame him, he hasn't been in the majors for six years. I'm sure the post game spread is much tastier in the bigs (not to mention getting to ride on those new-fangled aero-planes). ;)
That being said, yeah, he needs to relax and just play his game. But that's easy for us to say.

How isn't it relevant? They are giving the score to the team that's in first place in our division. If they don't have time to cycle through them all, I'm OK with just mentioning the top dog. And isn't "cycling through" what the bottom line thing is for?
I've heard Joe Angel explain many times how he prioritizes the scoreboard readings, and he starts with the top of our division, then the rest of our division, then the rest of the AL, then the top NL teams, then the rest of the NL. It makes sense to me, and if Joe Angel is going to do it that way, then I think we should give Thorne a pass here.
I have many criticisms of Thorne as a baseball announcer, but this would be way down on my list of complaints about him if you ask me. Just my two cents.

Kinsler has been surging in the voting and could beat out Pedroia, which would allow the two 2Bs who have been head and shoulders above the rest in the AL to go. It is pathetic, however, that Brian is 5th and behind the guy with the worst OPS among qualified AL 2B and the votes leader is 9th out of 11 qualifiers.

Some people who have their gall bladders removed have some remaining stones in the biliary ducts that can act up later, which is what they're pretty sure is going on with her. Now, the stone has disappeared kind of like BRob's kidney stone so they hope it made it to the intestines and will now go away, but she has an MRI tomorrow to see if they can find any stones. At times like this, it is pretty stressful living in a different state than your parents. :( Anyway, best of luck with your surgery and I hope they get all the stones with the stupid gall bladder!

Submersed - We All Make Mistakes lyrics (http://www.lyrics007.com/Submersed%20Lyrics/We%20All%20Make%20Mistakes%20Lyrics.html)
To know you,
Is to know the love an angel,
Sent from above,
To save me,
From all of the heartache I've known
To hold you,
Is to hold in my arms the forgiveness,
Of a compassionate heart,
to complete the pieces in this puzzle of life
We all make mistakes
In our lives, that's the way
It is, So hold onto what is right
We all get the chance in our lives,
To make right
If I've hurt you,
I am sorry,
Forgive me,
Forgive me
To show you,
This hole in my heart
Is to show you what you have filled from the start
With your love you broke the chains that bound me
With the strings of heavens that brought us together,
Leaves no doubt that this will last forever,
Until the end of time
We all make mistakes
In our lives, that's the way
It is, So hold onto what is right
We all get the chance in our lives,
To make right
If I've hurt you,
I am sorry,
Forgive me
I hear a voice on the winds of a whipser
It speaks to me
To tell me that I'm on a road,
It says,
"Peace, will never be achieved through silence
Come one day,
May you find a way
To see"
We all make mistakes
In our lives that's the way
It is, So hold onto what is right
We all get the chance in our lives,
To make right
If I've hurt you,
I am sorry,
Forgive me
Forgive me
Forgive me
Forgive me
Forgive me

True, definitely Samuel shares the blame... and RH did get close enough that he could have had a chance with a proper (takeout) slide. The ball he scored from first on the other day got a good bit farther away from the outfielders IIRC.

I has a feeling that was going to happen. Should have had Albers start the inning or at least took him out after the walk. Liz had done his job, nothing left to prove. Now a very good outting turns to crap.
In addition, it would have been the right thing to do...
Ramon made the right play. Doumit was behind and to the third base side of the plate, so Ramon tried to hook around the front. That is the textbook play. Running into him would have been incredibly stupid.
Ramon just ran out of gas so he didn't have any force on the slide.
That was one heck of a relay throw by Jack Wilson BTW, because McLouth's throw to him was garbage. McLouth's throw was probably what made Samuel send Ramon, it was that awful.

Nope, he's had the instrumental version of a Notorious BIG song, Hypnotize (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnqrnUuvy7w) for the past several years, which everyone thought was kind of an odd choice for Brian considering that he (almost) never swears and doesn't like rap. In a way I think it's kind of cool that Brian would choose something that obviously has a deep personal meaning for him instead of something that just sounds good, but it's almost a little awkward to listen to in such a public venue. Coming from Brian, it's adorable... from anyone else, it might be a little creepy. :o

By the time Doumit got in front of the plate it was too late to hit him. I watched this play three or four times. Ramon just plain ran out of gas, no matter what he did he wasn't going to have any force behind it. It was either flop on the ground or try to hit a moving brick wall.

It is kind of cool and I like seeing guys use music that means something to them. Josh Hamilton used Tobymac (a Christian rock band) for his music when he was with Cincy and I loved hearing that music! It shows some of the guy's personality when they choose music that kind of makes you think about the reasons why. And hey, at least he's not like Adam Dunn and using "Sister Christian" for his song which Dunn has done for the last like two years, LOL :laughlol: (Ryan Freel using s Suzanne Vega song is even funnier though, LOL)

I'm loving Scott's .888 OPS. What a stud, i'm glad we got him. He's a great guy and quickly becoming a fan favorite. BTW - Maybe Scott and BRob are like Christian buddies all of a sudden? Seems like a better influence than Tejada might have been in the clubhouse, i'm kind of teasing here.
I was thinking about the fact that Tejada will be back in B-More on Tuesday and was wondering what I would do if I were at that game. I think i'd cheer him pretty hard when his name was announced. On one hand he came up pretty dirty in the Mitchell Report and all that jazz. On the other, he really did give his heart and soul into this team when he got here.

The Reds #1 draft pick just hit a tiebreaking HR in the Miami CWS game and his team now leads 4-3! That's pretty cool. :D
Go O's!!! Hey Brian, time to have one of your 4-5 nights, okay?! You're helping my fantasy team a lot tonight too, LOL ;)

I thought everyone might like to know that cindy left me retaliatory negative rep. So, it wasn't for anything I posted, it's because I left some honest rep, she didn't like it, and an administrator told her who left it(unless there is some other way to know who left what).

Beautiful game by Cintron. Doing those team things to help win ballgames, and oh yeah... a 2-run bases loaded double!

When you are a plus member you can see who left you rep.

You can tell who leaves you rep, positive or negative.
So you gave her neg rep for not knowing what PR meant?

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. I obviously retract any implication of an administrator's involvement.

If you go to UserCP, it tells you who gave you rep.

It's a moot point, IMO. I think splitting time between Bynum and Cintron is working nicely. We don't necessarily have a starting SS, so I don't think either of them should play a whole lot more than the other.

Plus members can see who left all their rep points. Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to everyone about the rep system. Neg rep should be used as little as possible and only for rule violations, not because you just don't like somebody's post or for retaliation.
