Hi--Decided to stay home (visiting my parents in Timonium--I live now in Miami). Didn't feel it was going to be worth it to go down to the Yard to watch Burres. Can anyone tell me whether he made any effort to hold Bourne on first in the top of the inning? For some reason, he threw over when Berkman was on. Thanks.

Hard to fault Burress too much so far tonight. Bunt single, a steal and slow roller was the first run. Pence's HR came on a decent pitch, low and in. Pence just golfed it to the most homer-friendly part of the park.
The walk is probably the worst thing he's done so far.

Really? That reminds me of the old football coach when I went to high school. Coach Rigot. Everybody pronounced it "rig-it." My senior year for some reason we got in to a conversation during a class and he said his name was actually pronounced "rig-o," that it was French but he stopped trying to correct people after the first year or so.

Damnit Sarfate, Sherril shouldn't even be warming, but you can't find the strike zone, and now you can't throw it to second.

Make up your mind. Do you want Trembley to burn Johnson out? Because he uses him a lot. Leaving him in with a 4 run lead when you got other arms in the pen that are rested would be quite the Perlozzo move. It's not his fault that Sarfate couldn't find the strike zone, or second base.
Sucks we gotta bring Sherril out, but that's on Sarfate (and Cintron), not Trembley.
