That is absolutely insane...i hate the fact because he is an athlete he can get away with this. The real crime is these scuzzy lawyers who get them out of this. Sorry to any lawyers out there, but this is ridiculous.
While I do agre that athletes get off easy most of the time, I am divided on this case being a Bills fan.
I've followed this case since the beginning. There is evidence to suggest that Lynch didn't even know he hit the woman. Evidence including video surveillance filmed at the intersection and multiple eye witnesses. This incident occurred at about 3:30AM during a rainstorm. The video surveillance shows that the vehicle didn't even slow down which tells me that either he's a heartless moron or he didn't even know he hit her. It shows two women, one who was dancing alongside the road, then after the car flies by, sits along the curb for about 15 minutes then walks away on her own power.
I think the real scuzzy lawyer is the personal injury attorney hired by the woman. Immediately after the incident, the victim was interviewed and at the time mentioned she didn't even know who Marshawn Lynch was (mistake). Now all of a sudden since she knows who he is, she has suffered significant trauma and heartache after the incident and should be compensated. Boy I bet her attorney is beating himself over the head with this one.
I'd dig a bit deeper before drawing your conclusions based on a headline. There's a reason he wasn't charged with anything or even plead for almost a whole month.

Without revealing too much about myself, I'll simply say that I've made some bad choices in my life and I was spared some heartache by deals such as this. I don't see this situation as out of the ordinary, especially if Lynch didn't have any priors.

I don't buy it at all...had he received a breathalyzer that night...I guarantee that he would have failed...he got away with it...
I really wish that athlete's and celeb's got the same treatment as normal people...a grimy ass lawyer should not get you out of situations where you put someone's life in danger.
He paid a 150$ fine and lost his license for an undisclosed amount of time...I would be ashamed if I were that judge.

It's not like he killed the woman... it sounds like she was fine. She was probably drunk being a dumbass in the road anyways. I don't think this is special treatment at all.

I'm telling you that I've gotten similar leniency. I don't really want to get into it, but if you don't want to believe me when I'm telling you this point blank, then there's not much else I can say. And I did have the benefit of a lawyer, which may have helped me in this situation.
Thus, based on my personal experiences, if Lynch had no priors then he got similar treatment to what others with a bit of luck (and the ability to feign contrition to a judge) would have received. So I don't really have a problem with it.

I agree. If anyone was being "grimy" it was this lady and her lawyer once she found out who Marshawn Lynch was. All of a sudden she has suffered significant trauma over the incident? Give me a break.
I don't disagree that Lynch should have stopped to see if she was OK, that is, IF he even knew he clipped her. The fact that he kept trucking and never stopped, but also did not try to hide his car in the driveway immediately after the incident tells me he didn't even know it happened.
Freak accident.
Also, try telling the other 200 NFL players that have been arrested in the past few years about special treatment.

They may or they may not but in either case this incident is not proof that they do. I would say that any average Joe that did what Lynch did would have had the same outcome.
The criminal justice system is lenient no matter who the perpetrator is. Unless you have multiple offenses or commit a serious felony, you will almost always walk with probation or less. Just the way the way the system works.
