AFAIK, Buck never met a pause he could stand. Whenever the PBP guy pauses for a sec, he feels compelled to say something to show off, even if it's just completely wrong stuff that he just makes up based on nothing.

Now today, with 2 color guys, it seems like he's not jumping in quite so fast, which I assume is about him wanting to let Sutton have a chance. (Whenever I hear a Gnats game, it sounds like a Braves game ;-)

There's 3 outs in an inning, but when you use the last one, you're done.
So you really only have 2 outs to spend.
We had 1 out already, so bunting would have given away the last spare one.

Time-lag confusion about when the post appeared...

But I still think we're better off if we think about innings as having only 2 outs, because the 3rd one doesn't do you any good, it just means the inning's over.

We had 1 out already, so bunting would have given away the last spare one.

He's saying Millar should have bunted...we had runners on 1st and 2nd with no one out. They would have walked Scott to load the bases. We then had 2 batters to hit a sac fly, or get a hit with a drawn up infield.

Jones got the hit so maybe all will turn out well regardless.
