I had to go and see what all of the fuss was about tonight concerning another Pixar film. I love Pixar...but I have been waiting for them to really start to produce bad flicks. They really haven't, but the idea of a robot looking for love was one that I felt was going to start this turn.

Boy was I wrong.

This was hands down the best animated movie since the old disney flicks that I have seen. Better than Nemo, incredibles, shreck ect.

I can't even begin to describe how I felt when I left the theatre tonight. People were clapping, crying, happy and elated at how wonderful the movie was.

If you haven't seen this movie, and want to see a feel good movie that has a lot of depth....see Wall E

The themes are good for both kids and adults alike...and let me tell you one thing. I love the movies. And for a bit of trivia, Beauty and the Beast is the only animated flick to be nominated for best picture...I think we may have #2

It was definitely better than practically every Pixar film with the possible exceptions of Incredibles and Toy Story. Also, the pre-film short feature with the magician and the rabbit was their best in that format.

That pre-film was hilarious...I was crying I was laughing so hard

One more funny thing...the woman sitting behind me at the end of the movie turns and tells her husband..."Anyone with a working heart has to love this movie"

I totally agree

It should contend for Best Picture come Oscar season. Screw Best Animated Feature... this one might legitimately deserve at least a nod for the whole damn thing. (edit: sorry Eddie, I didn't read your entire post before posting the exact same thing.)

What a great summer this is for movies. Iron Man and WALL-E could both be major Oscar contenders, and The Dark Knight will probably be just as good. Not to mention Hellboy, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, maybe Step Brothers...

Definitely leagues better than last summer.

Agreed. I didn't know anything about Wall-E before I went to see it, and normally I don't go see movies I know nothing about. But since it was Pixar, I trusted it'd be good.

It was fantastic. The visuals were stunning, and the story was surprisingly interesting. It's great how much they were able to convey despite the fact that the lead character doesn't talk.

I agree about the short before the film-- that was great, too.

I have now seen it two days in a row. Went with a different group of friends today. Even though I knew what was going to happen, it still got my emotions going.

This was definitely one of my favorite movies ever. It was an amazing movie and I agree with the OP, there is no way to describe how this movie makes you feel.

Excellent movie! Andrew Stanton is easily the best talent that Pixar has.

I've reached the point of absolute faith in Pixar. I'll go see whatever they produce, because I trust that it'll be good. And I wasn't disappointed here. Wall-E is amazing. I think I just fell in love with a trash compactor.

I had to laugh when the lights came up at the end and we noticed that the people sitting to our right had exited before the movie ended (WHY?), leaving all their concessions scattered on the floor in a huge mess. It was a nice real-life example of the movie's message! Of course, then I saw all these kids walking around with cheap plastic Wall-E watches in shrink wrap, so maybe the movie made its own real-life example.

I really dislike the idea of Pixar.
Is there something wrong with me because I refuse to watch CGI animation?

Yes. 2D animated films haven't been hand-drawn for years. It's all computer-generated anyway.

If the movie is good, who cares?

What is the "idea" of Pixar, and what exactly do you dislike about it?
