Part of our Sunday problems may be because we tend to gives days off to regulars on Sunday. Weak bottom of the order today.

I don't like the Orange jersey, that's our ST road jersey, right? We should wear our white jersey at all times at Camden Yards. Our play on the field will determine if we win today, not the jersey.

Hello friends, I will be unable to join you guys today. Little daughter flew in from L.A. this morning, so I'll be spending time with her. I will be wearing lucky O's cap today. GO O'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baseball players are notoriously superstitious entities...if they asked to try this, you gotta let them try it.

Nice pitch by Burres. Lucky to get out of that inning. Hopefully he can get it together now. 7 IP would be huge (if he can get there).

They just said the homerun by Scott last night went 420 ft.
For those, like me, that thought if it was down the line it would've hit the warehouse: it would've be 12 feet short. Almost :p

Because the players are instructed to get into a run down in that situation. When he dropped the ball, he probably felt that he was too far down the line and if he would have went back to the bag and got tagged out, Payton could have gotten thrown out trying to go to second.

Hey another Orioles blunder on the basepaths!! Awesome. What was Luke doing? He easily could have gotten back to third on that play. We could have had 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Oy ve.

It's like he wanted to be in a rundown. He's gotta sprint back to 3rd on that play!

I thought the same thing. I think he was turned when Pudge dropped the ball and, therefore, didn't see where the ball was. Meanwhile, he wanted Payton to make it to 2nd, so he wasn't going to risk committing to a base and getting us into a DP (or keeping Payton at 1st)

Read my post above, they are instructed to get into a run down and he probably thought it wasn't far enough away from pudge to get back in time.

It would have been 1st and 3rd. No way Payton would have made it to second. And if Luke gets thrown out going back to third, Payton could have been thrown out trying to go to second.

Face it Burres is what he is, and that's a five inning pitcher who can not get througha lineup three times. He would be much more valuable in that Matt Albers role out of the bullpen, but we don't have anyone to take his spot in the rotation.

agreed, but that doesn't mean that Trembley had to run him out there to start the 6th. today feels like a game that Trembley only tried 99% to win in order to avoid using an overworked bullpen from last night's comeback win.

I wouldn't. He's pitched well in his long relief role. As soon as he starts facing guys 2 and 3 times, he's gonna get lit up.

Brian Bob is all over the field today. If being engaged (at least allegedly) continues to make him play defense like this, I'm all for it.

Maybe but that's what's happening with Burres so what's the harm in trying something?

Burres went 5.1 and gave up 3 ER. Not that good, but he gave us a chance to win.
I honestly think Cormier would do okay for a start or two, but in the end, we'd be seeing a lot of lines with < 5 IP and > 5 ER

J.D. is at the game today.
Since Hernandez gets an RBI at every game he's been to this season, I'm thinking Trembley needs to have him pinch hit.

Ballgame. Too little too late...
Markakis' DP pretty much ended that inning before it started...
Ugh. According to cbssportsline, Millar got five fastballs between 89 and 91 mph--and cdn't deliver. His bat must be tired.... The O's get three walks in the ninth though--they never give up!

If you go to MLB's Gameday, you can see the stop Inge made. It was a great play. A faster runner may have beaten out the throw, and a lesser 3B might have missed the stop.

I was in 68, KK, 11 and I sat next to my friend (the Tigers fan) and on the way home, everytime they mentioned the game, he rubbed it in my face.
Oh well...i'm going to another one in a few weeks, prolly.
