Well, it's that time again.

Every year, I say, I am not going to get it but I will still pick it up probably tomorrow night. Anyone else getting it tomorrow?

I'll absolutely be getting this. I'm just not sure when. Probably sometime next week.

Would love to get it right now, but I don't think I can afford spending money on it. I can see myself getting it in a couple weeks.

I love Madden and haven't missed a year in forever but they need to have competition so they can actually have innovation. The game has been rather stagnant for the past 4 years IMO. Ever since they got the exclusive rights from the NFL they really haven't had to change much.

Does it have real announcers again or just that stadium voice?

Have not got it yet but it reads as if Chris Collinsworth is the announcer.

It's Chris Collinsworth (who does an excellent job) and Tom Hammond (who is worse than the radio announcer.)

Does anyone here like NFL Head Coacg.

The Madden collectors edition is 90$ but it comes with the full version of Head Coach. The original proce of Head Coach is 60$ so you would be saving thirty dollars.

Is it worth buying the collectors?

Can someone give me any reason at all to go buy this version on the PS2?

I would be trading in some old versions to get at least a miniscule discount, and a new system is pretty much out of the question, so is there enough of a difference to make it worthwhile?

I bought the Collectors Edition just so I could get Head Coach early (the standalone copy of Head Coach doesn't come out until Sept. 2.) If you have any interest in calling plays and being a GM of a football team, you should pick it up.

I have a PS2 and a Wii. Which system should I get Madden for?

Does anyone here have this game yet? What do you think about it? I'm thinking of getting it but not too sure yet because the last few have been pretty bad

I grabbed but have only played one exhibition game...nothing more than that. Cannot score it yet but it did feel good to play some football again. The graphics were great and the play is the same. I would say try to find a friend who has it first, then see if you like it.

So Madden or NCAA? I have one friend who generally swears against Madden, but said it is great this year. He also said that NCAA has some pretty unforgivable flaws.

I got it for PS3 but I haven't managed to pop it in yet. Summer finals this weekend, and I'm fighting Mono, so it's hard to stay awake long enough to play.

Well I played it and I dont think its amazing, but I still think it's worth the buy.

You can always download the demo if you have 360 to see if you like it or not

The game is much better than any previous next gen version. The gameplay is finally starting to feel like it did on a PS2 or XBox. Still need to get a few more previous features back in the game and greatly improve the franchise mode. However, I am having fun playing Madden on a next gen version and for the 1st time ever don't anticipate playing the majority of my football games on my PS2.

I think this years Madden is better the last two but is still not all that great. I just wish it would be realistic. I like this years NCAA much better.

Yea I just got it the other day. It's not too bad, better than the other next gen maddens, which isn't saying all that much. There's still some easy, simple things that they could improve on that were on the old Xbox, PS2 versions (which were awesome).

The gameplay is decent except for WRs still never get their feet down. I don't know if its just me but running the ball is hard as hell, I think partly because I dominated the Rush Offense training (which was easy as hell) and they ramped the rush difficulty up to All Madden on me. I think the most Rush yds I've got in 1 game is like 35.

If there was an All-Pro football this year, than I would've bought that. APF 2k8 was a really fun game and the gameplay in that is still better than this Madden IMO.

Collinsworth is actually pretty solid in this game, but APF 2k8 still whoops Madden in presentation. Madden still hasn't figured out how to do a good halftime report or use the ESPN license at all.

Also, they didn't really touch Superstar or Franchise. They will probably upgrade them 1 game at a time so that they can keep milking this no competition thing.

I have had that problem with previous versions but found that if you push the movement stick in the direction of the run after you hike the ball but before the RB gets the hand off/ toss you hit the hole faster and getting bigger runs becomes easier. Really makes sweeps easier.

I don't know if that will help.

I will probably get this when I get some money. I always like the Madden games far what they are and don't expect much more than that.
