This is just awful. I haven't listened to DMB for awhile, I used to be a big fan before they got really big (yeah, cliche, I know...) but I still think they're a very talented group. Like I said, its been awhile since I've put them on my iPod or put in a CD, but whenever I see DMB I get some good memories from a happy time in my life when Remember Two Things and Under the Table and Dreaming were constantly in my discman.

LeRoi's death is pretty shocking, he was an awesome sax player. Rest In Peace LeRoi Moore.

Sad news indeed. I have listened to this band for about 15 years now, I have over 200 live sets of theirs, seen them about 20 times. Proposed at a concert, had a DMB wedding song...

Very Very sad indeed.

RIP Roi, DMB will never be the same...

Oh, man. Very sad. DMB might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I've rarely had so much fun at a concert as I have at DMB shows.

Requiescat in pace.

Wow, this is sad news.

I've always liked their music and they put on a hell of a show. RIP LeRoi. :(

Gotta say...I really don't like DMB. They bore me to tears...but this is definitely sad to hear. 46 years old...way too young to die. RIP.

Man that sucks...I still love DMB and I was supposed to see them on Friday. He was ridiculous on the saxophone.

R.I.P. 'Roi. DMB will never be the same without you.

They put on one hell of a show - and I'm dumbfounded that I was at Roi's last concert before the ATV accident.

Really? Is this necessary?

I think they are still playing all of their shows. They have Jeff Coffin, who was filling in while Roi was recovering.

Haha, calm down man, I'm not a huge fan of theirs anymore either...but at the same time, people can show respect for a talented musician while not being rabid fans of their band. ;)

Sorry man, it is an emotional time right now for people who do follow the band and the last thing we want to hear is S like that.

To me, it is a slap in the face at the wrong time.

Sorry if my musical taste bores him to tears.

Yes the sax player from Bela Fleck is on tour with Dave. Still...it sucks...

Yeah, I know it sucks.

They played their butt off last night, dedicated the whole show to him, played all the songs he likes.

The rest of the tour is going to be very very emotional.

Word over at antsmarching is that One Sweet World was to have been included in the setlist. But can you see them actually playing that..would have been heartwrenching, especially with the "And here we will rest in peace" line at the end of the song. :cry

Yeah, I hangout over at Ants a lot. They did play loving wings though.

I am going to go download the show, should be pretty emotional.

Man that's just terrible. I got into DMB in '95 when I first heard "Satellite". Just hearing them brings back great memories of two of the best years in my life(95-97). I was surronded by alot of really great people back then. Which I still am today just not as many.

Any song where he had a solo has to be hard to play...there are so many songs they played where you would say..."here comes the sax solo"

Sorry I didn't mean anything by it...just that even though I don't like them and they aren't my cup of tea, I can still appreciate what his passing means and the sadness it brings.

And I wouldn't judge your musical tastes...I'm sure there is stuff I listen to that you probably wouldn't like. It seems like all of my friends are huge DMB fans...never have gotten it...but I can still appreciate the talent there.

This is extremely sad news. I love DMB and as a musician myself I've always been blown away with how talented a musician LeRoi was. He will be missed.
