2-3 pitch K's for this kid...cmon O's.

He had a lot of help from the ump on strikes one and two to Roberts (who swung at strike three because he had to protect the plate with two "strikes") and Mora probably took notice of that and figured he had to expand the strike zone.

We have to start something against this pitcher. He's 1-2 this year with a 6.23 era. We are making him look pretty good in the first two innings, but then again Waters has looked good as well especially if you take away that error.

Just a few days ago, Trembley did mention he wanted to give Nick a break.

Considering that Markakis has been struggling (217/379/217/597 last 7 days) recently, and has played in 128 games of the 130 games played so far.

I have no problem with this...

That's about the toughest balk I've ever seen called. The ump, Ramon, and Quentin all looked completely unready for Waters to deliver.

No way that run doesn't play a big part in this game...

There was no justifiable reason for the umpire not to grant time out to the hitter. Had he been reasonable, he wouldn't have created a situation where Waters was essentially forced to commit a "balk" by his failure to act.

Hell, Quentin barely gave him time to actually grant the time out. He called for it, then it was almost like he changed his mind. It was really weird all around.

Is this the second game in a row that Cintron has pinch hit for Castro in the 7th inning? (not counting the completion of the earlier game tonight)
