So every year it seems all the best console games come out between September and November and this year is looking to be no different. So my question is which game are you waiting for the most? While there are several must have's on my list I think Gears 2 is at the top of it. I put this at the top of the list because I know that after I finish the campaign I'll still be playing this game for quite a while in multiplayer.

I'm really looking forward to Fallout 3.

I'm more of a PC gamer, so I'm kinda excited for Starcraft II. Although I never got into the original Starcraft, I'm a big Warcraft III fan and have found it to have some of the best replay value of any game I've played. I'm REALLY excited for Diablo III, since Diablo II was my favorite game for a couple of years, but that's next year at the earliest.

Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway. Finally my favorite series is coming to the Xbox 360 (the older games in the series are not compatible, yet). I already have a reserved copy.

Rock Band 2

Fable 2

Fallout 3 (another game I'm looking to pick up) is said to have up to 100 hours of gameplay:eek:

I've heard nothing but good things about Fable 2 and will probably pick up this one as well.

I don't play video games anymore, but I will play Starcraft 2 like no other. The videos look sick.

What about Spore? It just came out yesterday and my cousin told me its awesome and hes addicted. I might buy it tomorrow...

And I'm also looking forward to Fallout 3, along with a bunch of other games. (Force Unleashed, Gears 2, X-Blades, etc.)

I like how Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway is not just like all the other war games out there. I like the fact that you can control your squad, move them here and there and tell them who to attack. In the game you really don't have to do any shooting, just make your squad do it.

Ditto that. This exactly why I like this type of game... in my case I usually go off on the flanks to nab the bad guys while my squad members suppress their fire. I just wished more developers would go this route instead of the normal single player shooter games that everybody does.

BTW - did I mention that the older games in this series is not yet 360 compatible?

I just wish I had the money for even the price drops on the next gens. Don't get me wrong, love the Wii, but there's only so much it can do. I'd like to play some good FPS's and such.

My only capable PC is a laptop, and while it is capable for most games, I just don't get the same experience. Maybe it's because it pretty much lives on my coffee table.

Well, if I end up getting a 360, the game at the top of my list is definitely Fable II, slated for a late October release, IIRC.

No interest in the multiple console shooters/action games. Actually, very little interest in any console game, though I want to play Disgaea 3 someday.

PC wise... maybe one of the MMORPG expansion packs... LOTRO, WoW and EQ2 all have expansions coming down the pike. No interest in the Warhammer Online thing... PvP/RvR ain't my deal. Maybe the Colonization remake? When's Fallout 3 coming out? I might try that, but am not dying for it.

Which is all good because I have so many older games I want to try to play. And those are already bought and paid for. :D

Hmmm...where do I start? Pretty much my entire Gamefly Q:

Already beat Too Human, and working on Tales of Vesperia right now so:

Gears 2
Fallout 3
Socom
Killzone 2
Resistance 2
Resident Evil 5
Fable 2
Tales of Symphonia 2
Left 4 Dead
Project Origin

Thats about it for now but ask me again in a couple weeks ;)

I was waiting for Too Human for years (the game had been in development since '99), I played the Demo and thought it was decent, but then I read conflicting reviews about the game so I decided not to get it. Maybe next spring while I'm waiting for the next rush of games next fall. As for the Force Unleashed I would highly recomend the demo on XBOX Live the gameplay/demo was alot of fun, whether that carry's over to a complete game remains to be seen.

I don't play many games anymore, but I go for the unique ones rather than the sequels.

Two that intrigued me:

- Spore
- Mirror's Edge

Anyone know what new FPS's are coming out for PC soon? I cannot wait until Starcraft 2 comes out, but COD4 just isn't a challenge anymore to me.

I'm actually happy that I bought Too Human before I read any reviews. Its actually a fun game to play even with all its faults. Taking on that many enemies and clearing them all out just makes you feel invincible. The game play is also different using the right analog stick. Takes some getting used to but its actually a nice change of pace.

You and me both. Man, I cannot wait for Diablo III. I've played ther series since the beginning, and I have to admit to it being my all-time favorite game. Starcraft isn't far behind.

The complaint I read was that they advertised the game like you would have full control of the Force and be able to do pretty much anything, but after the first level the bad guys pretty much all have force fields that block your force moves. That causes you to have to use the "mediocre combat system" for pretty much the rest of the game.

I'm also interested in Mirror's Edge and Little Big Planet might be the reason I finally buy a PS3. It looks incredible.

Wait, that's Fall 2009.

I guess I'll have to settle for Little Big Planet and Resistance 2

Too Human was overhyped like most games are, but it really wasn't bad for what it was. If you like games like Champions of Norrath, or Baldur's Gate, it's just a 3rd person version. The gameplay wasn't bad except for that pesky right analog thing. If they switched that button and the B button, so you dive rolled like god of war, and attacked by button mashing, it would have been much better.

This game was expected to be game of the year when it hit, so it's going to lose a point in reviews just from that. It's not too bad though. It plays like Mass Effect meets Baldur's Gate.

Mirror's Edge is a game that looks really pretty, but I've always been gameplay over pretty pictures myself you know? For all of the prettyness they pumped into Gears of War, the problems the game has (host advantage, sticking to walls, bullet lag, no party system) was brought about by too much time spent on pretty. They are fixing some of these problems by going to more of a grey-scale and darkening the game (less used for rendering), but still won't have dedicated servers for the host thing).
I won't pass judgement of course until I can give it a spin, but anytime a review for a game starts with, this game is amazingly beautiful...I get nervous.

RE5 is the holy grail of games for me. My second favorite series of all time (behind Zelda), and this one looks like they are taking the winning RE4 formula to the next level.

I haven't seen anything on Assassin's Creed 2 yet.

First off, I beseech you all, DON'T buy Mercenaries 2. The Gamespot review is dead-on in saying that the game's many, many glitches basically make it unplayable. Trust me, I learned the hard way. :angryfire:

Secondly, I guess I'm most looking forward to Gears of War 2, Fable 2, The Force Unleashed (I don't care what the EGM review says, the demo is fun as hell), and the new Call of Duty game.

I forgot to mention Tom Clancy's End War. This is supposed to be one awesome RTS. It appears you will be able to control all of your troops with voice command using your head set not even needing to use your controller if you don't want to.

I thought Rainbow Six 2 was a big disappointment though; Graphics were blah, game play was ok.

Hopefully Tom Clancy series can redeem itself.

eehhhh ... I'm still wary of any CoD game not made by Infinity Ward. Plus, they're just returning to WWII, after CoD4 made such advances in the gameplay by moving the setting into the 21st century. I'll probably end up getting this anyway, but not until it's $20 - $30. Still very bitter that I paid full price for CoD3 (same team that's making CoD5 btw) :cussing:angryfire:
