You know him, you love him, and now you get to see more of him, so we're please to announce that Greg Pappas is joining the Hangout staff. Greg will be working as an Associate Editor and will also help moderate the boards. He'll also be a big part of our next venture which we will be announcing in a few weeks.

Scott and I are glad to have him on board and we look forward to everything Greg will bring to the site.

Yes I knew that but the publisher was "Booklocker.com" (at least that is what Amazon states). Maybe future books will list "Orioles Hangout" as the publisher. :)

This is a great addition to the staff. Thank you. The main reason - but not the only reason - that I like this site is the insight that you and the OH staff members give me about the minor league players and the players the O's add in the draft. The people at The Sun and MASN are great but, IMO, their focus is on the Major League players. Greg adds a great deal of depth to your draft coverage (besides having the last name of one of my favorite former Orioles, Milt Pappas*).

Great move!

* My memory may be hazy, but I think I remember Milt Pappas once throwing a complete game shutout during which he threw only 81 pitches. He was a great pitcher who got a terrible reputation because the Frank Robinson trade turned out so well for the Orioles (and was mentioned as a terrible trade in Bull Durham). But Pappas had a career record of 209/164 (520 games/465 starts) during 17 years, ERA of 3.40 and 43 career shutouts with 129 complete games. He was a "near" Hall of Famer. At the time of the trade I remember that there were mixed feelings in Baltimore because Robinson was called "an old 30-year old". That turned out to be untrue. Nonetheless Milt Pappas was a terrific pitcher and Greg is a terrific addition to you already terrific staff.
