Rats, you beat me! Hopefully a mod will merge our threads... although I do like my title better.
Also, Nick got his foot in there. Freakin' Pudge! :cussing:

I just want to note that we have 3 of the top 4 doubles producers in all of baseball.

We must not let them win another game here. We must make it bad for them to leave.

We had the top 3 for a while. Aubrey and Nick need to pick it up, and Brian needs to go nuts and leave Pedroia in the dust (or switch to triples now since he still has an outside shot at leading the AL in both). The little brat must be stopped! :mwahaha:

We have a chance to have a big inning.

09-19-2008, 07:35 PM
I'll take that.
As I said in another thread, I think I'd rather have Salazar DHing, but can't complain about that too much.

And that is why Liz needs to be put in the bullpen. Two scoreless innnings and then the wheels fall off...

That and he's just not good at the little things... holding runners, fielding his position. That pickoff throw was pathetic. He had Gardner dead to rights and he just couldn't get the throw there with anything on it. You can get away with that a lot better if you're only pitching an inning or two at a time.

While certainly not a good inning, Liz kept it from turning into a complete disaster. We might have a wheel, wheel-and-a-half, left.

Well he led off the game with his 50th double, but now either his brain has been taken over by Melvin "Bunt" Mora or he lost a bet with Dave Trembley. Seriously, that's TWO outs given away this game for no good reason (the first Melvin himself). We DO NOT have the bullpen to hold on to the lead for four innings if we go up by one lousy run in the fifth. There is NO EXCUSE for wasting outs like this with good hitters when you can't freaking pitch! If Trembley didn't have such a need to make the point that his stars need to be able to bunt (although they don't have to run hard to first base... and only certain ones of them have to bunt, not precious little Nicky), we would have won a few more games this year! :angryfire:
Great, give up the first out and look what happens! Trembley Makin Me Mad! :cussing:

It doesn't mean the O's leaving that place winning, believe me.
What it does show is the blatant disrespect for Baseball and a lot of it's history. If people would stop and think for just one second about the greatness that has played there, they wouldn't be acting like immature little kids.
So many great names, Yankees and opponents.

Not all all, they're irrelevant right now. Historically though, Yankee Stadium is quite relevant.
