Dig Out Your Soul leaked today. Its good. Its really, really good. The first 8 songs are simply incredible. The best 8 consecutive songs they've ever put out IMO. The last 3 songs are solid, but not as great as they set you up for. Its a classic. Any Oasis fan won't be disappointed. Waiting For The Rapture is the biggest highlight IMO. I'm Outta Time is Liam's best writing effort yet. The Turning could be a hit. I could go on all day, but all I can do is strongly urge anyone that is a fan of music to give it a try. Don't let your preconceived notions of Oasis get in the way of an outstanding album.

Its just a very deep, different, darker Oasis album. I'm putting it right up there with Morning Glory, Definitely Maybe, and Be Here Now. I'm not sure where it fits in exactly, but its up there.

Bag It Up - 9/10
The Turning - 9.5/10
Waiting For The Rapture - 10/10
The Shock Of The Lightning - 8.5/10
I'm Outta Time - 9.5/10
(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady - 9.5/10
Falling Down - 9/10
To Be Where Theres Life - 8.5/10
Ain't Got Nothin' - 7/10
The Nature Of Reality - 7/10
Soldier On - 8/10

Overall - 9.5/10

Shocking that Tank started an Oasis thread. ;)

I know right. :D

I have a few obsessions. The Orioles, Ravens, Lost, Big Brother, and Oasis. Plus, I just have an addictive personality.

BTW, if anyone wants a medium quality copy of Dig Out Your Soul, PM me. I'll give you a link.

Now that you've had it for a few days, does it still seem as good as when you first heard it?
I'm just curious as I plan on buying it when it comes out.

I like it more now. The songs that I thought were a little weak, I'm starting to appreciate more. Its a grower.

Tank, I got this e-mail from 9:30 Club.

Oasis Presale

As the poster children for sibling rivalry, famed Britpop group Oasis, led by vocalist Liam Gallagher and guitarist Noel Gallagher, always gained a lot of media attention. But as drama waned over time, the band’s music has stood triumphantly on its own. Joining them on tour is alt-rock singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, who has returned with backing band The Cardinals. Now the dynamic pair are coming to Patriot Center and we’re giving you this special presale to get great seats without any drama.

Thanks man. I got tickets from the pre-sale for that show and the Madison Square Garden show. Pretty excited. Noel said in an interview they'd be playing 6 more songs than usual.

This was released today. Did anybody get it? Thoughts?I got it, but I haven't spun it yet.
I'm doing what I usually do when I buy a band's new record and listen to all their albums in order to get the full idea.
With Oasis it's kind of odd because after (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, I pretty much gave up on them until they got Andy Bell from Ride in the band.
Then I got interested in them again.

Glad to hear that.

Heres some B-Sides from the new album:

Oasis - The Boy With The Blues (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pSVANBmUqb4)

Oasis - I Believe In All (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YbGziluhQyQ)

Oasis - Waiting For The Rapture Alt version 2 (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=D1nmuW-8up0)

Oasis - The Turning Alt version 4 (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rLUO5v7PBrU)

I think The Boy With The Blues and the alternate version of Waiting For the Rapture are really good. The other 2 are OK, nothing special. I much prefer the album version for The Turning.

Apparently, "Dig Out Your Soul" will be released in its entirety on Guitar Hero: World Tour in early 2009. "Bag It Up", "Waiting For The Rapture", and "The Shock Of The Lightning" will be available for download on November 6th. "Some Might Say" is reportedly included on the game disc.

The drum solo in "The Shock Of The Lightning" should be fun to play. Really excited about this, even if I wish it was on Rock Band.
