Why is Trembley continuing with the sacrifice bunts?

Last night, he gave up at least two outs on bunts. Combined with Markakis thrown out at plate - I didn't see the play, but no problem with sending him - meant the Yankees only had to get 24 outs from the O's who were actually swinging the bat.

If you take those three outs, and the two innings pitched by Joba and Rivera ( who are tough to score on), the O's had a good chance to score in six innings.

Today against a rookie pitcher a bunt leads to two outs. Unbelievable.

Get this guy a copy of Moneyball or an Internet connection.

For whatever you think of Burres' pitching abilities, he did cover first on that Jeter grounder. That's one of the things that bugs me about De-Caf, he doesn't help himself at all in the field. I mean, these are fundamentals of the game... stuff you learn in A ball. Stuff you learn in college...

Millar: now hitting .234....174 in september.

He cant be on this team next year as the starting 1B..IMO Salazar is a better option right now.

3-4-5 hitters coming up. This is our best shot at scoring.

If we win the yankees are out of the playoffs. Now that's great.

That pitch looked a mile outside, but yet umps all bow to the great Rivera.

Could Jeter miss the final game? While I don't wish injury on anyone, that would be downpayment on payback for Jeffrey Maier.

Wow this ump is terrible. Glad to see Hank paid off the crew for this series...

Now THAT is irony...and you all know how I feel about Jeter.

I'm not sure if there's a pitcher on this staff that I want to see less than Walker.

Trembley puts Walker in so we can end this thing in style... :laughlol:

Well he got Giambi, but Nady's no slouch...

And A-Rod takes the bat out of Nady's hands, interesting.

Not a fan of facing Cano here though...

IBB to Nady forcing Walker to pitch to Cano...and that's your ballgame.

I've lost count of how many times we've lost to NY in late innings.:angryfire:
