I worked for many years selling advertising in print and television, and doing a bit of work on the production end of things.

If you're a small business owner, you're probably getting a lot of sales reps knocking on your door, trying to sell you ad space in any number of forms. I'd be happy to tell you what I know, go over the basics of contracts, what to expect from an agency versus in-house production, and how to get the most bang for your buck. I'll be upfront and say my expertise does not include internet advertising.

I also have a degree in English, concentration in Writing, have taught at the high school level, and have had a couple articles published here and there. So if you need help writing something or just want a proofreader, I'm happy to oblige...or send you to The Wedge. :wedge:

Also, I just want to say I think this is a terrific idea for a forum. Lord knows I've asked the Hangout for lots of help over the years, from raising a dog to growing tomatoes to buying a motorcycle....

I've had non-professionals read my novel, but I do need a proofreader for the book. If that is too much, I totally understand.

I am in the 'finding an agent/publication' process. I'd like to feel secure that the novel is at it's best before they actually read it. LOL
