Not too long ago I started to collect baseball cards, make that Orioles exclusive baseball cards. I have expanded a little to collect the minor league teams of the Orioles as well over the past two years.
While on the MLB.com "toy shop" I found a set of 2003 and 2001 Bluefield Orioles cards and with the price being right I had to order them. When they came by UPS the other day I eagerly opened both sets to place them in my collection.
While doing this I really had to search to find a player I remembered much less find a player still on the Oriole roster. The 2003 team set had Penn, Johnson and Hoey. As for the 2001 set, I for the life of me couldn't say who was who and what player even still wore a uniform of any team.
Well, I'd like to say I had a 2008 set of Bluefield baseball cards but I don't. If I did, I hope in seven years time I can say, "hey, he's doing well on the team now..."
