Not good news for the Cowboys faithful. This leaves it all up to 40 year old Brad Johnson.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a broken finger on his throwing hand and could be out for up to four weeks.

Romo broke his right pinkie on the first play of overtime in a 30-24 loss at Arizona on Sunday, according to a posting on the team's official Web site. A team spokesman didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.

The injury leaves the Cowboys (4-2) with 40-year-old Brad Johnson as the starter. Johnson, who won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay, hasn't started a game since 2006 in Minnesota.

Romo missed on three straight passes to start the overtime, but before then passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns despite heavy pressure. He was sacked three times and hit several other times.

Through Sunday's games, Romo ranks second in NFC passing with a 103.5 rating. He has thrown for 14 touchdowns and been intercepted five times.

In 2007, his first full season as a starter, Romo led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record, best in the NFC. They lost to the Giants in the playoffs.

Johnson quarterbacked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the NFL championship in 2002. He has been Romo's backup since last season and threw only 11 passes in 2007.

My heart is broken.:D

How long until TO throws a temper tantrum because Brad Johnson can't throw the ball more than 25 yards?

Wow. This coupled with that OT blocked punt almost makes up for how crappy the Skins looked yesterday. :clap3:

HTTR! :D

This might actually get the Cowboys back to running the ball, which makes them a better team.

It might also get TO even more whiny, which is good for everybody except the Cowboys. And teams will be stacking the box because Johnson can't throw downfield. No way they are a better team w/o Romo. I guess he'll be back before they get into the meat of the rest of their schedule though, as long to TO has not led a mutiny by then.

Man, the amount of ex-Skins QB's that have played this year is growing

Frerotte
T Green
Rosenfels
B Johnson

With Ramsey and Brunell waiting in the wings lol

I can see Johnson getting killed behind that line and TO erupting because he probably has a noodle arm now...

Looks like they have lost their punter for 6-8 weeks as well. I know it doesn't really sound like a big deal but ask the Redskins how much it hurts to be without a quality kicker. They are game changers when it comes to the field position battle.

I wonder if Congressman Heath Shuler has started working out again...;)

It looks like Felix Jones will be missing at least two weeks with a hamstring injury.
Also Godell is expected to make his decision shortly on the Adam (don't call me Pacman) Jones fiasco.

Not when their passing game is working quite well and the running game is getting shut down like it was yesterday.

I actually agree with your point behind this but tonight is a totally different situation than the Redskins game.

Browns coming off a BYE on Monday night in what you really have to call a must win game for them.

Sure you're quoting the right post?
