Coffee Table Book

I want a new coffee table book for the living room.

What I would like is a humorous book with short stories or readings of that nature. A book where if someone came over they could read something rather quickly and be laugh out loud funny. Does not matter the tameness of the humor either.

Any suggestions?

I've always been a fan of Andy Rooney. I recently picked up a hardcover copy of Years of Minutes in a bargain bin somewhere, and it has some great short rants in there.

Cosmo Kramer's coffee table book about coffee tables. It was a hit on the Regis and Kathy Lee show a few years back.

You can get the complete Peanuts in several volumes, or the complete Calvin and Hobbes in one volume.

There are also Doonesbury books that contain a year or two of strips. Even if you disagree with the Trudeau, the stories and characters are great.

If you're looking for something specific, like art, go to a place that specializes in it. Museums are great sources.

I'd also recommend the Ikea catalog and Amazon. I think you can even search for coffee table book on there.

You can get a really nice, hardback cover of this in the bargain section at B&N in White Marsh. I picked one up for $15 or so, and I've seen more copies there several times since.
