Has anyone read them? I admit that I have. My 13 year old sister was reading them and convinced me that if I love Harry Potter, I'll love Twilight.

Well...they were no Harry Potter, that's for sure. Anyone who even hints that they are in the same league is out of his gourd. Stephanie Meyer has nothing on JK Rowling as far as writing chops. But they were very compelling, I thought. As long as you can laugh at how they're so obviously written for teenage girls, they're really quite good. Two of my other grown up friends have also read them and enjoyed them a lot.

I'd recommend them for easy, fun reading.

Michele read Twilight and said she can understand why the series is so compelling for teenage girls. We can't keep the books in the store.

A young man (18 years old) came in yesterday and asked for Breaking Dawn, which is out of stock with our distributors. He was dressed all in black and said that it was his vampire look. He asked me to retie his leather "Edward" bracelet and check out his Edward necklace. He said the only thing missing from his look was glitter that would show up on his face when the sun shone. I sold him a bottle of "Little Princess Body Glitter."

I thought vampires would use Fang for Men Glitter, but what do I know?

That is the funniest thing I've read in a while.
