Halftime, MD up by 19 points
I've been watching on MASN and it has been fairly ugly. MD is shooting really well and GW can't get anything in their half court set.
Hayes, Bowie, and Vasquez have all had a nice first half.
GW looks athletically overmatched. MD has better fundamentals. MD has better shooting. MD is rebounding well. GW has no chance in this game at all IMO.

MD now up by 25 3 minutes into the 2nd half.

Appears to be headed to a huge lopsided OOC victory for the Terps tonight!
Quite a game for Bowie tonight, he needs to keep this up come ACC play.
Seems like Greivis has played an efficient, low turnover game tonight. Hopefully he can continue to stay within himself.

MD won this game easily. It was as lopsided as the score indicated. Good night for Bowie and Milbourne. Really nice interior defense.
It is still early, but MD looks much better than last year to me.

And looking at our schedule it looks like we have an easy road to 13-2. I just scanned those teams records and I don't really give any of them a shot at beating us. That means going 8-8 in conference play puts at 21-10 and a virtual lock for the NCAA tournament. I would guess going 7-9 and 20-11 would put us on the bubble.
Gotta be happy with the team's OOC play so far. Take away the lop sided loss to Georgetown and we could be a ranked team right now (or close to it). We beat a top 10 team and another team that has beaten two top ten teams so we are in position to have a really strong RPI.
I think how we do in the ACC is going to depend on match ups. Obviously, we are going to struggle against teams with dominant post players, but we should be able to contend with any of the finesse teams. I don't see anyone being able to guard Hansborough or keeping him from getting boards, so our games against UNC could be ugly.

Missed the 2nd half after they got up big and the Ravens game was starting.
Looks like Gary is starting to find his rotation. I like Dino as the 6th man and Burney getting the other 8 or 9 minutes in the post. The one thing that is somewhat baffling is Mosley over Tucker as the 1st guard off the bench. Don't get it. Tucker played really well in practice and started the season well but struggled for a game or two and it seems he is in the doghouse. On the other hand while Mosley has shown a good basketball IQ he hasn't shown any ability to score. Tucker is the better player IMO and I'm struggling to see how Mosley is getting more minutes. Either way both should be in the rotation but I think Tucker should be getting more minutes. Kim and Dupree are garbage men at this point and I think that is how it has to be. You have to let your top 6 or 7 guys play enough to get into a rhythm. Kim simply isn't ready and Dupree has played himself out of a spot. Easily the 9th and 10th men on the team.

Mosley has done everything very well except make shots. He came in with a reputation as a great scorer, so I think that will eventually come. I'd be pretty worried if he was making some shots but at the same time making a lot of mental mistakes and not making great hustle plays.
I think Mosley will be a very solid player sooner rather than later.
I agree about not understanding why Tucker has been playing so poorly and sparingly. He was much better than Bowie last year, but has been lapped this year.

I can see where the Booth comparisons come into play with Mosley. Also, he's surprisingly unathletic (which I guess I'd heard, so I shouldn't be surprised.)
My dad says he reminds him of Byron Mouton - and that does make some sense. I think his upside is higher, and I do think his scoring will increase going forward.

Didn't see the game but it's certainly encouraging to see the Terps not play down to the level of their opponent -- something that has happened a lot in recent years.

He doesn't have Mouton's size or strength, Mouton was incredibly strong, but I do think he has a better handle and shot (although we haven't seen it yet). Of course, we never saw the young Mouton. He was essentially a senior his first year on the team and then a super-Senior for the championship run. So we only saw him once he had really come into his own. If Mosley can develop enough to be as good as Mouton I'll be very happy. He was a very underrated player.

I think the comp is more about the role than the body. The skill set is somewhat different. And Mouton went to Tulane with the rep of a big-time scorer, but he didn't really have the shot or the quicks to be that kind of scorer at the major college level.
We'll see with Mosley. I'm encouraged by Stoner's comment that he's been playing hurt - his lack of elevation has been somewhat disconcerting. Though whatever concerns I have are balanced by how impressed with his court savvy I am. He's a heady player, to be sure.
And he seems pretty unflappable.
