Do you watch ESPN as much now as you did 5 years ago? Why I rarely watch it anymoe unless its a specific game, in no particular order:


1) So called analysts can't put together coherent English sentences and just don't provide any added value - See Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, etc.

2) Ridiculous features on Sportcenter such as, "Who's more now?"

3) Rampant bias towards NY and Boston sports teams.

I watch it the same amount. Its gotten really bad, but theres nothing else to watch for sport news.

I watch it about the same. I still usually catch SportsCenter every night. I never really watched ESPN for their analysis, mostly for the highlights.

Significantly less, but for me it's more of a time issue than anything else. With 2 young kids, sports has to take a backseat a lot of the time.

We dropped cable. I will watch it when I travel, but it's disappointing. With the internet, you really don't need it.

5 years ago I was a junior in high school and would watch SportsCenter when I woke up in the morning and had limited access to a computer.

Now, I dont watch it nearly at all. The ONLY think I might watch on ESPN is Baseball Tonight or a baseball game.

Only when Erin Andrews is on. All there analysts are like robots. They stare into the camera all stiff and say the same stuff. They also say "Here's a guy". I can predict what they are gonna say almost everytime, except Emmitt.

Ugh, If I see another Boston College/St John's highlight again I'm throwing my TV out the window...:rolleyes:


You know what might get other teams noticed, WIN GAMES! How dare New England go out and win all of those Super Bowls!!! How dare the Red Sox and Yankees win all those games and Championships!! I am so sick and tired of people crying and complaining that ESPN or whatever gives attention to these teams that gasp, WIN A LOT! Seriously, if your team was winning, they'd be getting the coverage. ESPN COVERS THE PATS/Yankees/Red Sox BECAUSE THEY'RE GOOD!!!!!!! When the Patriots were 1-15 in 1990, they were NEVER talked about. when the Yankees were 70-92 in 1991, no one cared. Good God, when will people realize this? And please, don't come back at me with the NY/Boston Bias BS...No one EVER talks about the Bruins/Islanders/Boston College/St John's/The Celtics before last season...etc. It's such an absurd copout.

You want someone to blame for the Orioles lack of coverage on ESPN, blame the Orioles!
