Started this thread a little early so that everyone can be reminded that this game will be on MLB Network today at 1pm (est).
Orioles Lineup
Ryan Freel - 2B
Adam Jones - CF
Lou Montanez - RF
Ty Wigginton - 3B
Oscar Salazar - DH
Chris Gomez - 1B
Felix Pie - LF
Gregg Zaun - C
Jolbert Cabrera - SS
Koji Uehara - P
So will the Orioles ever let Matt Wieters catch again this Winter? It seems like they are doing all they can to make sure he's not ready for opening day.
He doesn't have anything left to prove in the minors. Don't let the business side get in the way of the baseball side.

Uehara is pitching today, so most likely Zaun has been tabbed as his personal catcher. Wieters will probably come in after Uehara is done pitching.

How hard is Uehara throwing?
I think SNY gun is messed up. He was throwing 85-87 mph with a fastball. 65 mph with his curve. Splitter was at 81 mph. In the first inning.
Right now his fastball is 78-79 MPH. That doesn't seem right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eephus_pitch
:scratchchinhmm: ???
The Eephus pitch is thrown overhand like most pitches, but is characterized by an unusual high arcing trajectory and corresponding slow velocity, bearing more resemblance to a slow-pitch softball delivery than to a traditional baseball pitch. It is considered a trick pitch because, in comparison to normal baseball pitches (which run from 70 to 100 miles per hour), an Eephus pitch appears to move in slow motion (60 miles per hour or less).
That pitch is the stuff of legends, if Uehara is throwing it on purpose I think I love him.

"We're sitting in the nose-bleed seats, but he was missing pretty badly in spurts. There were a few borderline pitches that didn't go his way."

A line drive to 2nd to keep the bases loaded with 2 outs. Trembley comes out to bring in Alberto Castillo.

Which of the relievers have impressed you today?
Castillo comes in and allows the game tying grand slam. It was long gone, but so close to being foul.
I'd have to say Walker looked pretty good and Ray looked really good.

As to Keefer and Castillo, we're seeing why they won't be on the team. Pathetic.

Alberto Castillo gets the next batter to strike out looking to end the inning. On to the 9th in a tie game.

Castillo gets the lead off guy to strike out on a ball in the dirt that the catcher has to get and throw to first for the out.

My parents decided to call me in the bottom of the 8th when everything started happening. That caused everything bad to happen I believe.

Of course. :D
He is blocked by Delgado and he could be used as a 1B of the future.
