Penn strikes out Ankiel. Ludwick is up. 2 outs runner on 1st.

Molina, of all people, starts to steal on Penn and Penn balks. Ludwick hits a rocket over Scott's head in LF. Molina scores. Double for Ludwick. Chris Duncan up.

Penn balks trying to stop the runner, runner advances to second, double by the next hitter. Run scores.
Considering Penn put the runner on first by hitting him, then balked him to second, that run is completely owned by him. Not a good sign.

After Freese singles through the 5.5 hole, Penn strikes out Rasmus. He hung a curve that fooled Colby. The announcers felt that it was a pitch that should have been crushed.
Moore helps out Penn with a snag behind the bag and makes a jump throw to first for the second out.

Robby Hammock. He's spent his previous seasons with Arizona. He can also play some other positions. He's playing 1B today. He's played a little 3B and a little OF as well.

Penn is serviceable in the bullpen. He just doesn't have the consistency to be a starter right now. And he clearly can't get through 2-3 turns of an order.

Penn has no value to us in the Penn. Penn isn't better than the guys we already have in the Penn. By the time Penn is ready to come out of the Penn and start again we should have three or four other guys ahead of him. I say let him go to San Diego in a nothing trade or waiver the guy.

Hayden Penn GTFO my team. I'm done with this kid. Yes, I'd rather have Eaton right now than him, and thats BAD. What they should do is release Eaton, put Penn on waivers, bring Bergy back in as the 5th starter and have Hendrickson as the lefty for a few weeks until Hill is healthy and then transition him to the pen. Thats what they should do, but they won't because it makes too much sense.

I hope he makes the team as the Number 5 starter.... Let's give the kid the opportunity to blossom or falter when it counts in the season... Its not like we are projected to win this year, so it makes much more sense to have a pitcher that has a chance to be a pivotal part of the rotation for years to come start with some growing pains... Eaton and Hendrickson aren't long term solutions... Penn is still relatively young.. !!!!
