Not trying to tell the chef how to cook, but for my tastes it's a very interesting half-an-article. The missing half is detailing all the weird crap that happened when he looked primed-and-ready for his Big Chance. IMO, his Actual Chances occurred when he was not primed-and-ready, and his occasions of being primed-and-ready were corrupted by, um, what? Bad Luck? Cosmic Intervention? Whatever. Based on how things went for him, I figure that, if he has a car, it's probably a '58 Fury named Christine.
