There sure are plenty of people booing Teixeira. Would it be too much to ask those people to do something constructive in addition to their booing? There was at least one guy in orange close enough to have stood his ground and blocked Damon from going that far into the stands.

Damon made a catch with about 2/3s of his body in to the stands, nobody even tried to mess with him.
Cporioles8
04-09-2009, 01:52 PM
Damon made a stellar catch down the left field foul line, reaching a couple of feet at least into the stands to rob BRob of another couple of pitches to check out. It was a nice opportunity for fan interference.
Also, the K on Adam Jones was the first strikeout by a Yankees starter so far...wow! That's impressive on the O's part.
Lastly...nice to see the top of the lineup immediately getting the pitch count up, once again
Why Not?

Lots of first pitch strikes. I think he's thrown them to 8 of the first 11 batters he's faced.
He doesn't have good command of any of his off-speed pitches right now. Doing a great job of getting by with his fastball so far, but I'd think he'll have to get his splitter, curve or change-up over if he wants to go deep in this game.
Been impressed with his ability to throw strikes when he's needed to. With two men on base in the 3rd, he got up 0 - 2 on both Jeter and Damon before putting them both away.
