Yeah, the last guy who dominated us in the past (Burnett) beat us too.
Then again, we broke a string of 12 straight losses to the Rays last night, so let's keep up the unthinkable! :)

Well, with the way our bullpen is being used I could see him going 7 innings even if he pitches 110 or so. Then again, Trembley's been extra careful so far.. so who knows.
Nonetheless, 7 from Guthrie would be huge... us winning a blow out would be huge too so we could rest a lot of the bullpen.

It'd definitely be nice for Guthrie to log 7 tonight. But if he's at 96 pitches after 6, I guarantee you he won't come out for the seventh. They have a roster move tonight. They can pitch that guy tonight (Bass or Albers, I'd guess). Walker has only pitched against one guy so far this season. I'd expect to see him tonight.

Partly because the strike zone is laughable, and the Rays are in the Yanks and Sox mode of taking pitches and making you work.
The AL East is going to be a war of attrition.
Every offense is good and well above average.

Hope you are right. It's about 16-17 pitches per inning. So you are looking at right around 100 after six at that pace.
Tampa was pretty aggressive in the second, but became more patient in the third and fourth. Guthrie needs another inning like the second if he want to go into the seventh.
