You gotta believe Roch does this for us:
For the Orioles, who are trying to complete the sweep tonight in nine pitchers or less:
Brian Roberts - 2B
Adam Jones - CF
Nick Markakis - RF
Aubrey Huff - 1B
Ty Wigginton - 3B
Luke Scott - DH
Felix Pie - LF
Chad Moeller - C
Cesar Izturis - SS
Mark Hendrickson - P
For the Rangers, who are trying to confine their team ERA to three digits:
Kinsler - 2B
Young - 3B
Hamilton - CF
Jones - DH
Blalock - 1B
Byrd - LF
Cruz - RF
Saltalamacchia - C
Andrus - SS
Benson - P
Why Not?

The defense makes a rare mistake. Wigginton boots a DP grounder, and the O's get only the out at second (I don't blame Roberts for his bad relay to first, since Hamilton was pretty much in his face).

I'd really hate to be a play by play guy or color commentator during Jackie Robinson day- especially once managers start making substitutions. Heck- they mixed up Roberts and Izturis last night when they had their own jerseys on. With all 42s out there- they'll really be lost.

That's exactly why I disagreed. I've seen Mora make the same mistake quite a few times. Wiggington hasn't played there nearly as regularly as Mora, so I'm willing to look past that, being that he recovered so quickly and got the lead runner. If Mora had muffed it, he probably would have immediately went to first and conceded the lead runner..
FYI though, I'm not saying Wig is as solid defensively as Mora- cuz I do think Mora is a very solid defensive 3rd baseman. (Wasn't always though)

MLB Network, so far, has been incredible. I know it's been said on this site time and time again, but I just started watching it when the season started. They generally show highlights in order of "which game was most exciting," and they give pretty close to equal time and discussion to each team. I know I can watch them and see more than a 20-second highlight video and zero discussion about the Orioles. And if I'm interested, I can see more than that about the Pirates, Royals, and Reds as well.

That was quite a painful inning to endure- but you know what- Hendrickson battled thru it. An error by Izturis and a play that Roberts makes 8 out of 10 times at least- and he limits the damage. He does get hit hard- but he depends on the defense and that inning I guess the baseball Gods caught up to him after Wiggy looked like Brooks and the lucky catch.

This is what you expect out of Mark Hendrickson. So yes...
If CI and BRob made their plays none of that would've happened. That was a 5-out inning. Even so, it's still a 1-run game.

Unfortunately, while you're only down 2 I don't think you can afford to take Hendrickson out with only 3 IP. I know we've got a fresh Liz & Albers, but the 4th inning is still way to early. I would assume that Hendrickson is the sacrificial lamb tonight.

Because of our BP being taxed. Hopefully he can get out of this jam and pitch through the 5th, then it's a different story and it wouldn't be a case of him being a "sacrificial lamb". My point was that even if Texas tacks on a few more runs, I don't think you yank him right away.
I don't even want to think what taking him out now would mean for our BP for the Boston series.
