Game time is soon, so I think its time to start the thread.

Also on MLB.com right now it says delayed for the game. I'm not in Baltimore, so I don't know the weather right now, but hopefully it won't be for too long.

The rain just started, and there's a lightning delay that forced all the fans in open-air areas to seek cover. This game's not starting very soon.

Ahh ok thanks. That gives me time to go get food then, so I went won't miss anything when it does start. I remember having that rain down here Sunday night. The thunder and lightning was crazy.

Not only is the weather bad, but so is the TV announcing team--Hunter and Martinez...it's a good thing they don't have to entertain us through the rain delay like announcers did back in the day.

I doubt they will postpone the game. The Braves/Nationals game last night had a 2 hour and 10 minute rain delay before its 1st pitch.

It's still raining hard, the tarp is on the field, and the grounds crew is nowhere to be seen. I don't see any way they'll be ready to start at 8:30.

Only took Contreras 4 pitches to get the 1st 2 outs. Nice single by Markakis though.
As Markakis is coming up to bat the announcers on the CSCHD feed say " Now here comes one of the best players in the league. Not on this team, not in this game, but in the league" Very high praise

Love the way this guy pitches. Throws strikes. Low in the zone with movement. Works fast. No crazy windup with too many moving parts. This is a guy who will have a long career.

I've gotta hand it to this crowd. Despite the long rain delay, and the fact that it's cold and a week night, a lot of people are still here. And they're getting into the game, too-- some of 'em gave Bergesen a standing ovation after that 1st inning.

I just don't get it.
I've seen him get a hit, but only one or two.
He hasn't been too bad at third base, but you do notice a bit off a dropoff without Mora down there, IMO.

Again, in the long run it'll be about adjustments. He's certainly got the stuff to stick, IMO. Haven't even seen his changeup yet.
I'll be interested to see whether he incorporates it the 2nd time through.

This thread should say it all. He's low in the zone, good movement, good command. If he's rattled, it's all on the interior. Good mechanics. Works fast. Going right after the hitters. Throwing fastball and sliders, no changes.
