Tied at the half in game 2, after losing game 1, and I'm relieved.

This team really won 65 games?!?!

Kobe and the boys really need to go to Houston strong.

Ok thats an obvious statement but come on, the Lakers need to win this year.

We'll take home court back, thanks.

Not sure what to say about the first post of this thread, but anyway, Yao is out with a broken foot.

This series is over.

It's called being reactionary (like I usually am). Relax.

Must have missed when I was up in arms about anything.

Seems like you're the one who needs to relax, because I am perfectly relaxed.

Anyway, I'll actually talk about basketball...

Very bad start for the Lakers, not much effort, and awful execution/shot making offensively. The Rockets getting off to a good start was to be expected, but this has gotten out of hand.

At least as I type this, the Lakers have had a few straight productive possessions.

Don't get why you always feel the need to respond to every little thing.

The OP was reactionary, and you'll prolly see another one real soon if the Lakers don't pick this game up.

There you go again...let's see if you can stop.

I love the message board tactic of act like a jerk, then try to make the guy you're clearly baiting look bad because they're responding to your posts directed at said poster. Especially when poster using said tactic is the culprit of what he is harping on. Brilliant. Carry on, now you can claim victory since I responded.

I also love starting a thread with a reactionary post, and then getting on a posters case for responding(not even a big or harsh reaction either) to that reactionary post. Guess you wanted this to be a one post thread. Interesting.

Much better tonight, now lets see if they can carry this momentum into Houston and close it out.

Do you guys think you will beat Denver?

No.

I'll say yes although Denver has been quite impressive. They've had the easier path so far though imo.

If the Lakers come into the Denver series playing as soft up front as they have in this one, they're in for a rude awakening.

The Rockets' only legitimate big man is Yao and he's soft when he's not hurt.

Guys like Martin, Andreson and Nene will push us around.

This is assuming we beat Houston either tonight or in Game 7.

But on the other hand, none of those guys are much of post up players, so that's a plus. Yao and Boozer were much more difficult to deal with imo, and Boozer is at least as physical as any of those guys.

I just can't believe what we're allowing Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks do to us.

This team doesn't have McGrady and Yao and they're taking us to the limit.

Speechless.

I can now say with 100% certainty that the Lakers cannot win the NBA title.

Not the way they're currently constructed. The team only seems to want to turn it on when their backs are to the wall and if they try that crap against Denver or *gulp* Cleveland, they'll get their tails kicked in.

That's assuming we win game 7.

Pathetic.

Lakers certainly aren't playing good and that's part of it, but is there any doubt that Adelman is at the very least a top 3 coach in this league? WOW!

Well it's easy to look like a good coach when you're playing against the Heartless Wonders.

Carl Landry, Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks are doing what they want to Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, etc etc etc

It's just insane to me.

I didn't see tonight's game, but the fact that the Rockets have won 2 of 3 games since Yao's injury (albeit both of them at home) speaks volumes to me. If the Lakers win Game 7, and I think they will, they will have a far more difficult path to The Finals than I originally thought. After Cleveland, I think Denver has been playing the best basketball of any team since late in the regular season and through the playoffs thus far.

Houston has two things that Denver doesn't which work wonders against the Lakers though. I'm speaking of a small ultra quick and talented PG along with the best defender on Kobe.

You could really say two as well with Battier and Artest. I want LA to win because I think DEN-LA would be a much better series than DEN-HOU.

Artest can't guard Kobe that well.

If the Lakers win the western coast finals, they are probably going to have to play Cleveland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysmLA5TqbIY&feature=channel)

And even more Cleveland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM&feature=channel) :D
