For fun... Create Your Favorite Modern-Era Pro-Wrestling Card!
Rules are simple. Any wrestler/any promotion... but let's use 1970-present to simplify it a bit. As well, all wrestlers should be considered in their primes and able to wrestle in only one match.
As many as 16 mega-matches in all.
I'll start it off:
Imagine a sold-out Madison Square Garden...
Match 1: "The Show Stopper" Sean Michaels v. Randy "Macho Man" Savage
Winner: Michaels in a barn-burner.
Match 2: The British Bulldogs v. The Midnight Express
Winner: The British Bulldogs.
Match 3: Triple-Treat: Antonio Inoki v. Bob Backlund v. Chris Benoit
Winner: Bob Backlund in a great wrestling exhibition.
Match 4: The Rock v. Goldberg
Winner: Goldberg via spear... coming after a brutal battle.
Match 5: Steamboat & Strongbow v. Wyndham & Rotunda
Winner: Steamboat & Strongbow in a fantastic classic tag match.
Match 6: The Fabulous Moolah v. Trish Stratus
Winner: Moolah after using the brass knuckles.
Match 7: Bruno Samartino v. John Cena
Winner: Samartino out-heart's a very tough and game Cena...
Match 8: "The Game" Triple H v. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes
Winner: HHH in a bloodfest.
Intermission
Match 9: Rock & Roll Express v. Edge & Christian
Winner: Edge & Christian after a fast and furious battle.
Match 10: The Undertaker v. Andre the Giant
Winner: A battered and exhausted Andre the Giant finally puts the Dead-Man to rest.
Match 11: Latino Legends Match: Mil Mascaras v. Tito Santana v. Eddie Guerrero v. Rey Mysterio
Winner: Mascaras thrills the crowd, pinning Guerrero after a 45 minute affair.
Match 12: The New Age Outlaws v. Fabulous Freebirds
Winner: The Freebirds win this 'War of the Words'.
Match 13: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin v. Sting
Winner: Austin survives a Scorpion Deathlock to 'Stun' Sting. A tremendous match.
Match 14: Brett "The Hitman" Hart v. Kurt Angle
Winner: Hart outlasts the Olympic Hero in what is considered by many the greatest match of all-time.
Match 15: The Road Warriors v. The Dudley Boys
Winner: The Road Warriors finally crush the resolute Dudley's in what was billed by some as the "Best Tag-Team of All-Time" match.
Match 16: Kerry Von Erich v. Jerry "The King" Lawler v. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair v. Hulk Hogan
Winner: The Immortal Hulk Hogan overcomes the great NWA champ Flair, the Texas legend Von Erich, and the great AWA champ Lawler... dropping the leg on Lawler for the pin. Hogan had been illegally double-teamed and busted open by 'Four-Horsemen' Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard during the match, but were chased off by the Von Erich clan... as always the Hulkster rallied late.

This size event would be an all-day event... a Day of Champions sort of thing. ;)

Loved Owen Hart... great match there. I also tried numerous times to involve Hall and Nash, usually trying a NWO v. Four-Horseman angle... but wound up with nada since Flair was in his own match. DX was another thought.

You could have the original Four Horseman vs. late 90s DX in a survivor series type tag match, if your card didn't have those guys tied up, yeah. As long as the first person eliminated in almost a squash would be X-Pac.
Most "dream matches" have been done in my eye, really, but I do like that Andre/Taker match up. That'd be immense on many levels.
Mick Foley vs a bear. Come on, you know he'd do it.
Andy Kaufmann vs David Arquette.
In seriousness, Rey Mysterio vs Superfly Jimmy Snuku in a cage.
Kurt Angle vs Curt Henning would also be a pretty good matchup.

Supa Supa Superfly! Snuka BTW, not Snuku. :D
Henning was very good, no doubt, but I think Angle wins that one 9 out of 10 times.
I've thought about trying a tournament here... use a poll to post the results. A 64-man Champion of Champions Tourney. Thoughts?

Snuka was a sleep deprived induced typo, whoops.
And Greg...wrestling is fake, you know. Angle and Henning would have worked well together in the ring and that's what matters. Of course Angle would have won 9 times out of 10, he was a spectular amateur wrestler. Had it been big at the time, Angle might have been an incredible MMA guy. I would also have loved to see Henning work with Jericho for the same "they'd put on a great show" aspect.

FAKE?!?!!!! You know something I don't? ;)
Agreed... Henning/Angle would have been great in that regard.

Always wanted to see that match, too bad it would never happen.

If you do this and Hulk Hogan wins at all, I'll be very upset. Also, Owen Hart needs to be in it as well. He was a guy who truly was taken too soon.

I bolded the matches that made no sense to me, lol. I personally think the barn burner would be Match 8 and Match 10, especially if you added Dean Malenko to match 10. From a purely financial view Rock/Cena, Outsiders/DX, Hogan/Austin and Taker/Sting would draw insane amounts of money.

Match 1 Owen Hart v. Eddie Guerrero v. Davey Boy Smith v. Dynamite Kid v.Chris Benoit v. Chris Candido in an Elimination Chamber
High flying with some power game mixed in. Hart pins Dynamite Kid after reversing the Kid's final Superplex into a crossbody followed by a Sharpshoter.
Match 2 Dudleys v. The Midnight Express v. The Steiners v. The Road Warriors
I don't know who would win this.
Match 3 Eddie Gilbert v DDP
Eddie Gilbert proves he was taken way too soon.
Match 4 Sting v. Luger
Sting reverses the torture rack into the Scorpion Death Drop.
Match 5 HHH, Batista, Cena, Rock v. Hogan, Goldberg, Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash in a Survivor Series style match with an 8 minute time limit.
Finishers and pops abound! No one cares who wins, just that they all got to pose for the crowd!
Match 6 Taker v. Andre
The new Andre versus the original Andre. Both ring generals bring down the house.
Match 7 Matt Sydal v. T.J. Wilson v. Low-Ki v. Amazing Red
Holy crap. That is all.
Match 8 Edge and Christian v. Miz and Morrison
edge and Christian win in a barnburner with so much trash talking they have to clean the ring afterward.
Match 9 Tazz (ECW) v. Samoa Joe
Tazz with suplexes galore.
Match 10 Jeff Hardy v. Matt Hardy in a TLC with no time limit.
There is no such thing as a winner in this match, except for the viewer.
Match 11 Randy Savage v. RVD
Savage wins with the original flying elbow.
Match 12 Ric Flair v. Buddy Rogers
Flair proves he is the only "Nature Boy! Woooooooooo!"
Match 13 Harley Race v. AA Arn Anderson
Again, similar to the taker v. Andre match.
Match 14 Bret Hart v. Angle
Hart in the greatest technical match of all time.
Match 15 Austin v. Brian Pillman
with a build up, this match would own. It's no secret that great tag teams become great fueds because they mesh so well.
Match 16 Michaels (in his prime) v. Styles
The two greatest in ring performers of their respective generations battle it out for the title of who is the best in a ladder match. Again, the viewer is the winner.

Yeah I was running out of idea's. THe 8 man tag figured Hart Foundation vs the some left overs.
Edge/Christian vs Million Dollar Man and Mr Perfect. Yes it was leftovers again
Mankind in is prime vs Samao Joe Nation of violence angle. But like pain what a better match up.
I thought about Malenko in that match, and possible RVD
