I would formally request (beg) for the OH to create a unique forum for trade threads. Every season, posters will create topics about fictitious trade scenarios that they come up with themselves. I hate having those threads clog up the board, and/or wading through them thinking that perhaps I might see some real trade discussion (ie trade scenarios which have actually been discussed by major league teams, not fantasy trades thrown around by fans).
I think any trade speculation which is verified by an actual media outlet should be fair game to discuss on the Main Board. But it would be much better for all the "Should the Orioles trade Player A to Team X for Player B" to go on a seperate board.
Thanks for taking the time to hear out my suggestion.

Kind of a cool idea in my humble estimation.

Meh. There aren't really that many trade threads that it overwhelms the front page. Ok, maybe it does overwhelm it a bit into July 31st, but it should, then.

But there's a big difference between talking about actual trade ideas proposed by the real teams, verified by media outlets. As I said, I have no problem with extensive discussion of trades that have actually been talked about by major league clubs, or those speculated upon by members of the media.
It's quite another matter for the average Joe Schmoe on the boards to come up with their own trade scenarios that have little to no basis in reality. There are always threads like those around the trade deadline and during the offseason, and at many other points in between. They are annoying (to me, and to others), and they belong in their own forum.

Right. We are cluttering up space on the O's board with trade scenarios that have very little chance of happening. It's Fantasy Baseball. If you're not going to open a seperate section at least sticky a thread at the top of the board for all the wanna be GM's to make their trade proposals.

We appreciate the idea but trade talk is Orioles talk and honestly, we're trying to limit the number of forums people have to click on for information.

Obviously Tony's already made the ruling hear, but just to chime in, I think people are pretty good at labeling their trade threads. I feel your pain, because I have no interest in them either, but it's pretty easy to just not read them.
