Rep Bird?

Just out of curiosity, how much reputation do you need to have before you get a Rep Bird?

I got my 5th red point exactly 200 points ago, so I figured I'd get my Rep Bird after another 200 points. I'm up to 2406 rep and still no dice. :(

Do I have to wait until I hit 2500 or is it even further away?

I believe there is a tacit "no pimping" restriction also. If you pimp too much for rep, Tony OH (and Co.) can withhold the bird - that is they don't give you the bird. Funny, you want to get the bird, right? ;):confused:

I hope that's not the case. I didn't mean for my sig line to come across like I was "pimping" for rep. It wasn't until I hit 2200+ that I started counting down in my sig line. And that wasn't to illicit pity rep from OH members. It was just to show how freakin' excited I was about making it as far as I have and getting this close to a Rep Bird.

Guess I'll have to wait awhile longer. :(

I've modified the user reputation system to allow going past the old 'pip' limit. In a nutshell, here's how rep works:

1 dark green pip - 0-100
2 dark green pips - 101-200
3 dark green pips - 201-300
4 dark green pips - 301-400
5 dark green pips - 401-500
1 bright green pip - 501-650
2 bright green pips - 651-800
3 bright green pips - 801-950
4 bright green pips - 951-1100
5 bright green pips - 1101-1250
6 bright green pips - 1251-1400
1 orange pip - 1401-1600
2 orange pips - 1601-1800
3 orange pips - 1801-2000
4 orange pips - 2001-2200
5 orange pips - 2201-2400
6 orange pips - 2401-2600

Once you've reached the end of the pip line, you will lap the system and get a big Super Pip (a star for now). You'll then start to collect pips again on the same scale. Super Pips are the ultimate status symbol in the rep system!


I have no idea if it has changed since then but according to the above you have 200 points worth of 6th pip to work through. Also if you look you have six orange pips instead of the five you had previously.

I asked the same question last week and after looking at other members post totals, I think it's awarded without regards to number of posts. But I could be wrong.

Simple, if people like or don't like what you post, you get +/- rep, if they don't care you get nothing either way.

I'm the only poster over 20,000 posts that doesn't have a bird yet I believe and there are people with less posts than I that have a bird or multiple birds, so the amount of posts has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Rep and post totals are completely different things. The pips are for rep, not posts.
