The Jazz are currently shopping Boozer now that they have Millsap officially locked up.
Should the Wizards try and trade for him? On paper, he's perfect for the team, but I question his work ethic and ability to stay injury free...
Opinions?

They should 100% try and get him. Not sure what it would take though.

It would be wrong for Washington to not try to get him.
But then again maybe management figures its not that big of a deal to go from a bubble team/8th seed to a 7th seed.
Hes going to play well wherever he ends up.

He's not a 2 or a 3, so Ernie wouldn't be interested.

He's quite clearly someone the Wizards desperately need. He does all the things a big is supposed to do that the Wizards' bigs refuse to do (with the exception of Haywood except Boozer >>> Haywood).
Not sure what it would take or what sort of cap ramifications would be involved but I'd sure like to see what the Jazz asking price is.

Thanks to ESPN's Trade Machine, I was able to come up with a couple of ideas...
The first one involves Mike Miller who is technically unavailable to be traded in tandem with any other player until late August (why? I have absolutely no idea). But this trade will work after the deadline next month:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=krfrck
The Second Trade involves the expiring contracts of Mike James and DeShawn Stevenson:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ktm3fw
Both trades are centered around giving up Blatche. With Okur and Millsap locked up for a while, the Jazz can afford a high upside, experimental F/C.
Do the Jazz make any of these deals? Probably not unless they are tanking the season and hoping for expiring contracts next off season. But Ernie is a mastermind at these things so perhaps it's possible. I also tried a few involving Jamison but Hollinger's projected +/- win/loss numbers were so devastating I just had to stop. We simply have to keep Jamison.

I would trade for him and any of the players mentioned here are okay with me. We can get by without any of them. I'm not a Dookie but I like Boozer who is 28. He's pretty much a 18-20 point 10 rebounds a game player. He has a way of putting points on the board and getting rebounds. Miami has offered Haslem and Wright reportedly. While they are at it I would also try to get a shooter like Redick who is 25 from the Magic and use him off of the bench. He is a good 3 point shooter who can help their offense in close games. He usually hits at about a .39 - .40% clip. He has only averaged around 6 points a game so far in his NBA career and averaged 17 minutes a game las season which is a lot less than I expected from him. He should be in double digits if given more minutes. His defense is weak but he can give a team an instant spark. He will make $2.1 mill this year. Bring in two guys who have won in the past and try to change the teams losing attitude.
Stevenson averaged 28 minutes last season and 6.6 points. James averaged 30 minutes and scored 9.6 points per game. Dixon averaged 16 minutes and 5.2 points a game.

Definitely agree about Reddick. He's an excellent three point shooter that has bulked up and improved his overall game since his Duke years. He's no longer JUST a 3 point specialist, although he can be if you need him to be. He would be significantly better off the bench than James and Dixon, and probably Stevenson as well.

Boozer? sure.
Reddick? No thank you.

I agree. A lot of folks say JJ hasn't been used right, and this may be true but he hasn't shown any game changer qualities in the time he has gotten. I wouldn't be mad to get him but I don't think he's someone to target.
