Now THAT's a moon shot. And that stance....was any Oriole ever more menacing looking at the plate?

Thank you for sharing that. Eddie was one of my all time favorite players. We could use a guy like that now.

They way he could come uncoiled on a mistake pitch like a hanging curve or high fastball was just something to watch.
Every once in a while I'd be watching on TV from the usual CF camera angle, and a pitcher would leave something up in the zone and before Eddie would even swing I'd get that feeling, and sure enough he'd jump on it before I had a chance to breathe.
And look at that body, compared to the sluggers of today....no steroids there, that's for sure. He almost looks skinny, although at the time no one would have called him that.
